>>>That's the beauty with these Alfa fours, simply a matter of Plug-and-Play Absolutely! Should have done it years ago! Now I have to go back to Switzerland with it, try to find the same hairpin on the Klausenpass and have a new picture taken but this time with the tail waaaaaaaay out! :D Jack |

Jack is a happy chappy again! Just completed to engine swap on my Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato. Always stuck to originality over power & speed but that 2 liter engine was simply burning a hole in the floor of my workshop and was BEGGING to be put in my JZ... Yes, you could actually hear it beg... "Please! Put me in that red one! I will be a good engine for it!" So, we (that is my best buddy Michael and I) decided to give the car the engine that it deserved! And... IT IS FUN! Imagine almost twice the HP with the same gearbox and end reduction and brakes that are up to the job.... Coming off a roundabout, it still spins the wheels in 3rd gear on a dry tarmac road! YEAH! Jack

Hi Kenny, yes, would LOVE them! Could you mail them to me at [email protected]? The DB4 GT Zagato was penned by the same guy that "did" my Alfa JZ 1300, Ercole Spada. Best regards, Jack |

Jack, I have shots of the DB4 Zagato as well as the newer Vantage Zagato (?) from the track if you'd like them. |

Pete, I don't think any of the Zagato creations for Alfa had the Doppia Gobba (?), or Double Bubble. The Giulietta SZ didn't in it's life from '59-'61. The TZ didn't either. The later cars like the Junior Zagato and GTZ were devoid of it too. Cheers |

Hmmmmm, I'll have to go check a book of mine on that. I believe that some of them did ... but clad to hear that you haven't missed one of the most important Zagatos. Pete |

They didn't have a double-bubble roof though. There is already so much written about the Aston Martin that I believe there is little that I can add to them. Jack |

What about the earlier Zagato Alfa Romeos, forgotten what they are called but they are very rounded with the double bubble roof, and were built on the series 101 chassis. Also the Aston Martin Zagato ... awesome. Pete |

I have been a life-long admirer of bodywork created by Zagato and dedicated some time to updating the website (finally!). Feel free to take a look at www.Zagato-Cars.com Jack |
