Lung,
You only live once, might as well enjoy life...I'm very happy for you! The 355 will definitely be my next Ferrari. BTW, from all my 355 searching and shopping, it seems the shocks can fail pretty early in life, and would be worth having looked at.

First thing I had done on my previous 308 and current 328 was check air pressures, then schedule for an alignment with a quality shop, familiar with Ferraris. Makes a world of difference, and seems one of the most neglected services on a Ferrari.

Enjoy!

Worn shocks can make a car seem floatey but it could also be lift. I'd check tire psi, shocks, ride height, and sup. settings. At high speed I perfer a touch of rake. (nose 1 inch lower than rear but I'm not sure that's correct for a 355) I'd post in tech sec. as someone there will know proper set up.

Lung, I've taken both my 91 348 and 94 Porsche 993 (with full twin turbo bodykit conversion) up to 260kmh. The 348's front and rear end felt light and twitchy, whereas the Porsche felt very stable, almost like a hunker down feeling. I attributed to the amount of downforce available for both cars. The rear of the 348 doesn't have much of a wing and the porsche's rear has a huge turbo tail. Never took a 355 to 260kmh.

Oh yeah, worn shocks could be the cause also.

Guys,
I drove back from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur last nite. Awesome drive! Doing average speed of 180kmh, with a top speed of 240kmh. Took me about 2.5hours to get home.
The car was pretty tight at the start, but after about an hour of high speed driving, "Rupert" started to loosing up (yup, I name all my Ferraris Rupert). The car drives very easily...I felt so at home at the wheel...I forgot how easily it drives,so responsive and reactive. It did bounce around alot at speeds over 220kmh. Is this common? Have to check the tire pressure, maybe too high. Jim, could this happen if the shocks are old? The car never bottomed out though. The Maserati didn't do that..maybe because of the Maser's Skyhook system.
Had to get use to toe/heeling again when I down shifted. No more down! down! down! or Up! Up! Up!. But I felt more as one with the car and road...you know what I mean?

I'll try to post some photos tomorrow...

Chris, I think you should've waited a week or two - I'm sure Lung is already busy looking for a Lambo.

Lung, let us know how you get on, I still get tempted by an F car. By the way, are you trying to engineer a divorce?

Cheers

Jim, Eric, Alex...
You won't believe this...I just changed cars again. It was a deal I couldn't refuse.
The 355 had just gone thru a major engine job that cost S$36,000. It was in the shop for 4 months.
What can I say? The Maser is gone. I have gone thru 4 cars in the last 8 months. The Testa, 3200, Coupe and now the 355.

I got an earful from my wife when she found out about the 355. She liked the Coupe alot. She thinks the Ferrari is a selfish car...seats only 2. Oh well...
