Dale, I would be glad to show you around if you are in the southern Vermont area next month. BTW it may be a good thing you are picking up a C4 and not a C2 as we usually have snow in November!

Brian Redman led a pack of twenty classic/sports cars up Equinox last Friday. I wasn't able to attend but the night before I stopped by the Inn they were staying at and saw some of the cars that were in this group. Among them a 275GTB/4, 300SL conv., Jag XK, 996TT, 964 race car and 3 or 4 356's.

Wow, here's the link...

http://www.equinoxmountain.com/

I wish that I had known about this a month ago when I drove my daughter through here on the way to Dartmouth.

Ah, just how is the speed controlled? Vermont has some great roads, but the state does seem to have a disproportionate amount of, uh, eco-types who drive rusted out cars at 20 miles below the speed limit. Getting around these crunchies would have been no problem in the Maranello, but did represent a challege in a Toyota Highlander.

But next month I'm due to pick up a Porsche C4 that I have stashed in New Hampshire (long story) so this looks like a great detour.

If you have any other tips on great drives between NH and Tejas, pls let me know.

Mt. Equinox is near Manchester,VT not far from the Hemmings gas station in Benninton. It's the site of the oldest hill climb in America. It's now run as a vintage event in June as the speeds got turely insane for a road with no guard rails. The sight of John Meyer driving the Lola which I now own through the saddle at 150+ is something to keep in mind as you drive up. (My car still holds the all time record) It's a toll road and the speed is controlled. There's a web site with info.

Where is Mt. Equinox? Is this near Brawely Mt?

Reason, I'm asking is that I'm planning on being in the area around the first of next month.

I just learned that the Lambo Club is sponsoring a run through New England on 10/25, with the destination being the Hemmings Garage in Bennington, Vt. Should be cool.
