Damn... i'm obviously in the wrong business... you've got a '98 Diablo SV and had two other Lamborghinis before it... not to mention your several Prancing Horses... not that i'm interested in your employment more than your exotics, but what do you do for a living...?

Allan, Welcome to Ferrarichat, I spoke with John at Motorcars International (http://www.motorcars-intl.com)yesterday about the Murcielago because I saw the two Murcielago's they had displayed at the Dallas Auto Show this year - one Titanium, and One Yellow One, very beautiful cars in photos and in person.

They have one black Murcielago left I believe and he said they were not scheduled for another Murcielago delivery until October, these things are hot right now, he also informed me that Motorcars-Intl(the largest lambo dealer in the U.S.) is building a multi-millionaire dollar car complex called Lamborghini Dallas and moving to Dallas in October so this is very exciting since I live here. Keep putting up the good info on all the great cars.

You're in Scottsdale?, that's what the pics of your cars look like, I was in Phoenix and Scottsdale for the first time about two years ago on business, had a lot of fun.

Good luck with all your current and future success,

J-Ryan

Good to know more about Lamborghini (different models)I have been a long time fan but have been told many stories of unreliability-that is good to hear, I guess it depends on how you drive the car (the more the better). Now it seems that they are coming back pretty hard with the new Mucielago.

Thanks for sharing and welcome!

PS-when you get a chance, post some pics-love the Diablo!

hello everyone, im new to this list and have been reading up on some of your lamborghini posts,so i decided to give you some first hand insight on this subject.ive owned 3 lambos so far, an 87 countach qv,a 92 diablo and now a 98 sv. i had the countach for approximately 3 years and put about 40,000km on it. i never had a problem with it. when i sold this car it had over 70k on it, was on its original clutch, and the motor had never been out. i did do some performance modifications to this car, i changed the exhaust and the entire fuel injection and ignition system to an electromotive tecII distributorless system. the performance gain was amazing, with the car easily beating my friends 550 maranello to 150mph. next i purchased a 92 diablo, and due to its superior in town driving the countach just sat. the countach is rather difficult to drive in traffic, the steering, clutch and shifter are very heavy. so i decided to trade them both in on a 98 diablo sv. this car is my daily driver, without fault to this date. its steering is effortless(better than my nsx)and the clutch and shifter are perfect. one fault of the older lambos is their brakes, they are horrible...not true of the sv. this cars brakes haul this car down from high triple digit speeds effortlessly! the a/c is ice cold(i live in az now and formerly florida) and the car is quite comfortable. the front raises via a button on the dash to clear those annoying speed bumps. as i cant leave well enough alone, ive modified this car with a custom exhaust, modified the ram air, and installed a 150hp dry nitrous oxide kit. if you think an f40 or f50 is fast, think again. now im sure your saying, yeah, wait till it blows up, but i know several people running the same setup as i am, for over 4 years now, including drag race passes(best of 10.98@134mph) without a problem. this is very interesteing to me as i see many people attesting to needing clutchs every 5,000 miles. anyways this thread is in no way trying to say that lambo is better than ferrari, i love them both, and have had several 308's and 328's (one of my favorite ferraris). i am also starting a company to try and bring a level of performance enhancements to ferrari and lamborghini owners currently unavailable at a decent price. please let me know what you think and any ideas you may have. currently we have ferrari 360 modena exhausts, and diablo exhausts for a price far below the competitions while offering far greater quality. checkout www.billetdesign.com
the exhausts show for 2995, but i sell them for 2400. anyways, looking forward to hearing from some of you, and hope this helps clear up some lambo issues.
