Is there a reason NOT to take the car back to the Ferrari dealer? |

Thanks, I go in for an estimate on Friday. They said I can take it where ever I want, but I need to get an initial estimate and then we can negotiate the final cost within reason. I was told to take it to John Eagle, which I believe is the Aston Martin dealer. I assume the paint shop there realizes I expect something better than if they were spraying a 10 year old Hyundai. I'll keep my fingers crossed. |

If it's their fault, I think you get to pick. I have no idea where to take it though. |

What's the concensus here for the best paint shops in the DFW area? Unfortunately, I just had someone swipe the backend of the Lotus with their SUV's grill guard and I am waiting for their insurance to call me back on where to take it. I would rather choose the place myself because I don't plan on going to something like Maaco. Although, since they are paying, I assume they will try to push one of their partner shops on to me. Any names/numbers would be appreciated. |

Pete, I believe Bob Smith in Gainesville is one of the best in the area... at least that's what I hear. I'm surprised you had trouble with Stuart's... they do a lot of hi end stuff. Have you discussed your dissatisfaction with them? For what you paid, they should stand behind their work. I had some minor road rash removed from my 328 bumber by a place called German Technologies in the mid-cities. He had just completed an F40 before he worked on mine... only works on hi end vehicles (Porsche, MB, etc). Dan Butts at 817.540.0712. Good luck! But I'd still try to negotiate with Stuart's if I were you. Bob |

Check with BobD on here, he had someone do the front end of his 328 and it's just perfect. |

I have a 2002 Modena, Fly Yellow with less than 300 miles. Two weeks after I received it, the car received some minor damage to the rear driver quarter panel. Mainly a scratch, no real body damage. Anyway I took the car to the body shop suggested by Ferrari of Dallas, Stuarts Paint and Body. In my opinion they have failed to match the paint and I am very dissatisfied. At this stage I am trying to decide where to take or send the car. Surely there is someone in Texas that does great work, especially matching the factory paint job and is attentive to details. I would also consider transporting the car to someone else if there is a nationally recognized place that has a great reputation in fixing this type of issue. I welcome your suggestions. Thanks, Pete |
