Sorry about that. But come find me & let's meet--I'll be in likely the only silver 550 Maranello out there. I think they have me assigned #87. I will be in garage #24 between runs. Look forward to meeting you!! -Dave |

Dave, The Drivers Edge will have their own F&C team, their not fond of folks wanting to volunteer for this, its their event & I don't want to step on any toes. I asked to help them in Ft. Worth & got a negative response. Go figure. I'll be working at the shop on Saturday morning until noon, & guess after that I'll just drive out there for a visit & take some photos. |

The corner workers, like myself are volunteers from the SCCA F&C team, we've gotten paid sometimes $75.00 per day, plus free track time, ride a longs, lunch, dinner, T shirts, etc... I just wanted to help out & do my part so drivers have a safe & fun time. |

For TWO weekend days, about 15K just for the track, plus corner workers, security etc... brings the cost for the track to 19K before instructors and all that other stuff. I guess one day is half that. If someone were renting it privately for a small group and you could do it during the week, it is a lot cheaper (although I don't know the exact amount, but I think it is around 3K per day), and with just a few drivers you could possibly do without corner workers (depends on your insurance req.). Typically, there is a TWS waiver you must sign; clubs & other organizations also typically have their own, along with their own insurance policy. Not sure what the track actually requires for insurance; probably best to call them directly or go to www.texasworldspeedway.com.
