Will,
I have your helmet. We can meet somewhere, or meet at kartzone and I can give it to you.

Rob,
I had a great time. Chris and I need to get together and do some kart racing. We talked about getting together sometime. Get us in touch with each other if you don't mind.

Jeremy

Hmm Dave, I guess that makes sense now. He mentioned his dad died of cancer earlier this year.

Thanks Rob. it was fun weekend. Remember, I'll cover your dinner at the next event. I hope my helmet came in handy for anyone working in your pit. Sorry to see you guys drop out after the first hour & a half, I was working turn 4 & saw the whole thing. Driving into the grass up to the turn three station, I guess to try to solve the fuel pump/carb issue. Then trying to cut across the mid field area to get back to pits & stalling out after turn 10 in the middle of the track!!!! AUGH!!!! Scary stuff, some drivers didn't look like they wanted to slow down even after ol' 43 orange was trapped. I'm glad you guys made it out alive. You will get them next time!

Thanks

Will :-O

It's the same David Mundy. He told me he soes SRX-7, and that he knew you. I just forgot to mention it before, until I saw you post his name. The cars were his late father's, and are now his. He lives in the Houston area.

I can't imagine it would be the same David Mundy, maybe, but I don't think so. I think he just races the SRX7. He's about 32 with dark hair and skinny. Hmm, never know though. We met a poor looking mechanic this weekend that has a 917.

Rob,

I met David Mundy at Roebling Road last month when I was driving a friend's McLaren Can-Am car. He was there with his McLaren, his Porsche 906 (which his sister launched into the bushes w/o injusr after skidding on someone else's coolant or iol) and his Allard. What a great guy, and a skilled driver! He really helped me get a lot better at driving my friend's McLaren!

First I would like to thank Jeremy for coming out and helping us. Even though the enduro went really bad for us, it was still a good weekend overall. Also cool to hang out with William Saturday night.

Here's the write up from Friday/Saturday...

Jeremy,

The next SCCA meeting will be on Thursday the 21st @ Kartzone. You can get an idea of what to expect for the enduro by attending this meeting & besides, there will be plenty of karting fun with club members. See you there. Other non-members are welcome to this event as well.

Great, here's the entry form with much info...

http://www.houscca.com/racing/enduro2002.pdf

I put your name down for a crew pass.

We were going to do it anyway, but in the rules they make you count all the laps, who's in the car, and length of pit stops.

Do you have a good stop watch? I'll get you one if you don't.

We worked on the car yesterday for several hours. Changed right front rotor, repacked both front bearings, replaced fuel filter, removed radiator fan, fixed fuel pump electrical problem, changed oil/filter, cleaned K&N air filter, and topped off rear end fluid.

I finally got the entry in the mail, they never posted it online. The enduro is Sunday, warm up at 8:30am and green flag at 10:30am. It's a six hour race. Qualfying is Saturday at around 3:30, but that's really not too important. I need a list of names so I can put them on the entry, otherwise you'll have to pay $10 each day at the gate. I would just recomend people come in Sunday morning unless they want to stay in town Saturday night. You'll have to get a hotel. We will go out for a little Saturday after the regional race and enduro qualifying.

We're working on the car all day tomorrow, so we should be set. Chris is a very good experienced racer that has raced in Europe and is a Skip Barber instructor, I'm in my sophmore year and have shown signs of speed, but haven't mastered 100% consitencey, Greg, the car owner and a TR owner is very new, this is only his 3rd race.

Let me know if any questions. I need to send the entry in Monday, but I'll put Randy and Jermey's name in to be safe. Send me additional names. Thanks.

I won't have the times until maybe Wednesday. There will be an hour qualifying/practice in the morning, I'm sure the enduro will start around 10am or so. We'll see.

Rob - pencil me in as very interested. I'll know for sure by the 14th.

BTW, what time in the morning would I need to be there? Its not too far from here, and I dread the Manor House! HA!

Cool, I'll put your name down Jeremy and I'll give you more info when I get it. There won't be much to do, SRX7's don't require much work, but let me know if anyone else wants to join the fun too.

www.chicksdigitracing.com needs some help for the SCCA 6 hour enduro on Sunday, November 24th at TWS. We have 3 drivers... Greg Scott, myself, and a ringer (ex euro racer, Skip Barber national series, Skip Barber Instructor) Chris Hewett. Chris is brining his crew chief Lance, but we could really use some help with logistics (basically taking laps times, calculating gas stops, and timing the mandatory 5 minutes pit stops).

If you're interested, please let me know so I can put you on the entry form.

Thanks,
rob
