After seeing the crowd first hand Friday night, I'd have to agree with their decision. It was pretty insane, I saw a little girl, maybe 2, climbing up and around the Enzo while Dad watched patiently. I was about to remove her when she finally gave up and went on to something else. I saw another guy lean up against the Enzo, and nearly screamed as I knew the rivets in his jeans were going to scratch it. When I was at the Houston show, they let people in, but only about 6 at a time. They only let people in when others left. I think they got a little overwhelmed in Dallas. Heck, Rob was even selling cars! I'm with Jere, thanks to FOD for being in the show, it's not a car show w/o Ferrari. |

Went back to the auto show on Sunday afternoon. The Ferrari booth had the rope up and were not allowing anyone in. I asked the girl at the booth, Jennifer I believe, why, since I had been allowed in on Wednesday. She said that later Friday evening the crowd got too large it was not controllable. Apparently some people were not respecting the cars for what they are and getting in them without permission. I heard someone say that a young lady even attempted to sit on the hood of the Enzo to get her picture taken and was asked to remove herself. I noticed that the Ferrari emblem on the front of their desk was missing as was the Maserati shift knob off the display they had up. The were both there Wednesday. It is a shame that some people cannot respect these cars for what they are and treat them with the respect they deserve. It ruins it for the rest of the people who may never get to get really close to a Ferrari. I am very glad that I got to get up close on Wednesday and I appreciate those who worked the Ferrari stand and the hospitality they afforded me. I also would like to thank Giuseppe Risi for putting Ferrari in the show this year and getting the Enzo here for all of us to see. I understand that of the three GT class Ferraris whose entries were accepted for LeMans that two of them are Risi Competizione cars. I wish them the best of luck at LeMans. Lets all cheer for the home team here as they trek to France to represent the US and our favorite make of supercars. |

Hey, all. Went down to the auto show this early afternoon. Was able to get by the velvet rope and take some pictures. Let me just first say that James Dunne w/ FOD was really nice and accommodating. He let me spend a little time inside, taking some pictures, and talked with him for a bit. If he is the future of Ferrari of Dallas' sales team, I give him a tip of the hat. Now, on to some more pictures for your viewing pleasure:
fyi....the carbon brakes cost $6,000 for each corner! Regards, Eggman aka Chris. |

Had a great time. Nice seeing everyone again and meeting George for the first time. Very nice display, I feel very lucky to see the Enzo up close and one of the Risi 360 GT race cars. The Ferrari section was definitely the most popular as it was always packed. I would have a hard time letting anyone around the Enzo, so I give FoD credit for letting everyone to browse and even touch the best Ferrari has to offer. James and Danny were very nice to FerrariChat.com and the FCA crowd, thank you very much for the hospitality. We hit Humperdinks afterwards for a fine meal and a few beers. Greg and I were the late goers this time going across the street to Red River. Yes, I made it through the night in a Ferrari shirt at Red River without getting in a fight. FerrariChat.com users front row L to R: (George, for Brains, Ken Thomas, Ron R, Greg Scott, Wes). Back L to R: (Tillman, Jim E).

I couldn't go tonight, so I went this morning. James was there and he asked me to pass this along. When you guys get there at 6, let James or Tony (he wasn't sure who would be there at 6) know you're part of the FerrariChat crowd... they'll hold you guys aside, filter out the other people, and then let all the FerrariChatters in at one time. Otherwise you guys will be filtered through a few at a time and be all spread out, timing-wise. BTW, when you get there, head to the far back right corner (away from the kiddie slide and such), back behind the Porsche display, behind the Mercedes display... way back there. The weather is beautiful right now... bit chilly, but beautiful. And the parking garage is fairly nice, so bringing the Ferraris wouldn't be out of the question. Besides the Enzo, #35 360GT, and the F1 engine, other things to see include the Panoz display (behind Porsche), Lambo display (far other end), and a few of the concept cars sprinkled throughout. The Cadillac concept car was particularly interesting... not that they would ever actually build that, but interesting cross between a 360 and a Mustang. Anyway, have fun!

Went to the show last night with my 10 year old... we already had plans for this evening. The F section is tucked way back in a corner... almost hard to find. All the F-cars are roped off but they let a certain number of people into the area to see the cars closely. You'll be able to walk right up and touch the Enzo.... but the car is up on a 2-3 foot podium the size of the car, I can't imagine they'll let you climb in. Maybe you can get them to show you the engine??? Wish I could have joined you guys... have fun! |

There will be at least one Ferrari because that's all I have today. Not really a great bring your Ferrari event as we'll all be mixed up in the huge convention center parking lot. It would be nice to few some Ferraris at Humperdinks though. |

I saw this Enzo in Detroit when I went in January. I believe that it travels with the auto show. I did take a close up of the VIN plate; might be interesting to track who gets it later on. They did invite us up on the stand in Detroit--only because I was wearing the red Fila Ferrari shoes--they said "Anyone who would spend the money and wear those shoes in public deserves to come on up." (It pays to advertise for them.) We were up ther for about an hour taking photos and film footage. They opened the car as we asked, but the big taboo was that we could not actually plant our butt in the seats. Not sure what that was about. |

We are going to qualifying this afternoon and my son has a baseball game at 6:00, but my wife and I might try to make it to dinner. After that, maybe we could find some street races on Northwest Highway to participate in as a group. I have been thinking about cutting off my muffler with a hacksaw, putting some stickers on the car, subwoofer in the passenger seat and seeing if I can make it into Ferrari Fast and the Furious,II. |

I have to make a decision because of the FCA List and since there were a few against Cool River, we'll do Humperdinks at NW Highway and Loop 12. 6:00 Ferrari booth at Dallas autoshow. Apx. Humperdinks arrival 8:30pm I'll call and get reservations for either 8:30 or 9:00. We can still hang out in the bar or get a pool table after dinner. See everyone there. I'm not a big fan of having my car parked out back. Friday night any nice resteraunt you'll either pay to be up front or else be in back. Gives you the opp to pull up front and as everyone is watching stall the car and have it jump. Yes, I've done that! |

#1 or #3. two totally dif atmospheres really. Cool River...nice, everyone is rich, the girls are hot gold diggers. Dukes: dirtier, patio, everyone pretends they are rich, the girls are trashier gold diggers. There is also a Dink's on Greenville just down from Two Rows. Not sure on the scenery. |

My first choice, which I already stated is a nice family Italian restaurant. Most of those don't have good parking though. MAT was a good idea until our group started growing. I might give the FCA list a heads up tonight anyway. We do Carsons every 3 months, how about a vote on the following... 1) Duke's in Addison 2) Humperdinks NW Highway 3) Cool River Las Colinas vote tally... Rob #3 |

I'm planning to drive the Ferrari, but plans can change! I usually park underground in the garage when I go to the car show. I have to drive 'under' the Conv. Center on the main road in (Field?), then turn left down into the garage. I know they've remodeled, hope I can get there this year. |

Hey all! I just got the "word up" from James Dunn that a group was gathering Friday at the Enzo. Count me in to join. Is everybody going to drive their "Prancing Horses" to the show? It would be cool to park them all together, but is probably unlikely possible. I vote the "Ferrari friendly" restaurant idea. I'm just cautious due to a previous few incidents at restaurants in the past. MAT sounds good, I've never been there. 6pm at the Ferrari booth still the plan? We could coordinate by cell phones. |

I went to the show yesterday evening. Made it to the booth around 8ish and even though there were few poeple in the building there was a crowd around Enzo. It's a gorgeous car, much prettier than its pictures suggest. No ropes, you can step right up and fog the windows all you want. Unfortunately it was the first day of the show and the "F" from the Ferrari logo on the backdrop had already fallen onto the floor. Whoever built the booth should be lashed and left out front. |

I gave Tony a heads up that we would be coming Friday night, but I don't think there's really anything special they can give us access to. I know Tony and James, so it would be nice to say hi to them if they're there. |

Rob, did you talk to Tony to see if we might get 'access' to the car? |

Went to the Auto Show yesterday. You really have to look to find the Ferrari/Maserati stand. It is located if you go thru doors D&E, at the very end of the hall behind the Mercedes stand and next to Isuzu. They have the Enzo, a silver 575, yellow 360 Spider, Rosso Corsa 360 coupe, yellow Maserati Spyder and a really pretty Burgundy Maserati coupe with an interior about the shade of butter and the #35 360 GT car that finished 2nd overall at the Rolex 24. I found it funny that there were only about 5 people in the Mercedes booth and three of their salespeople were leaning over the back of their booth watching the huge crowd around the Ferrari's. Tony and James were working the show yesterday along with another man I do not know. I heard him tell someone he is with Maserati of North America. Overall, the crowd was not overly large except around the Ferrari/Maserti area. I think that Friday evening, history holds true, will be a very large crowd so the Ferrari/Maserati area will probably be very congested. They were running videos of Michael in the Enzo, some F1 stuff and the Maserati Trofeo race coupe being tested. I am going to try to make it again Friday but do not know yet if I can do it. Lots of neat concept vehicles on hand. Plan on spending some time looking around. Almost everyone has something interesting to see. |

Whew, that was close. Looks like I can go after all. My Friday night was looking pretty ugly, but the wife gave me a kitchen pass. Normally not needed, but we had big plans, heheh. What is MAT? What time for dinner? Are y'all planning on looking at the less-worthy cars before 6:00, or after the Enzo experience?

>>Good classic multi course Italian restaurant with good wine selection?<< How about a place with burgers and beer? Ferrari friendly would be nice, as I expect to drive my car. How about the MAT? |

It is at the Convention Center (650 South Griffin Street) downtown close to Reunion Arena. The West End is only a few blocks away. |

I just found out that qualifying tickets aren't included in my TMS season ticket plan. Bastages! I guess 6:00 is fine with me too. |

Do you just want to keep the group small, I could possibly invite the FCA crowd? Although the FC crowd usually out numbers them anyway. How about 6pm meet time at the Ferrari stand and then going out to dinner afterwards? Anyone against that plan? |

Saw the Enzo thru the glass at FoD on Sunday. Don't know if it will still be there today as they are starting to load cars into the convention center for the car show. Don't know how long FoD had it there. It is much better looking than the pictures make it appear. |

If it's like Houston, there are no ropes. You can reach out and touch the car. I'd like to see if they'll open the doors and the rear hatch to get a better look at that engine. |

any time is fine with me really. Not sure what we want. Basically behind the ropes. doubt we can all sit in it right in front of the rest of the crowd. also depends if it is on a static display or spinning around with mirrors all around it. |

I have to talk with Tony anyway this week. I haven't been to the auto shows yet, do we just want to see if we can get behind the ropes or what? What are we asking for? Friday 7pm sounds good.

Open until 10pm Thurs, 11pm Fri. I noticed Lambo will be there as well. Anyone else? Rob? BodD? Dr John? Jano? Greg and Greg? Rodney? Dan? Don? Ron? We could get a pretty large group together with not much trouble. |

The car show starts next Wednesday, do we want to try to get together and go see the Enzo? Do we want to see if we can get a 'private showing', maybe with the doors OPEN? I'm thinking Thurs or Fri afternoon, maybe evening. |
