I think my kart in the final race was awesome, but ran out of juice. My fastest lap was the 3rd lap in. Tires weren't even warm

And the cars aren't even consistent race to race. The same car Jim won in the first race was dog slow in the second. Guess how I know :-)

And it was, as always, very dependent on the cart you got. I ran 5 carts in 3 races, only 2 of them were any good.

Pretty good, actually.

The full writeup's coming tonight, but here's the Cliff Notes version...

The long track's transponder was out of whack, so we ran 3 races on the small track. The second one was run in the reverse direction, and that track is a real bear that way.

First race was tight, with only .1 seconds between 1st and 4th. Jim won that one with a 21.30, Rob came in 2nd with a 21.36, and Wes picked up third with a 21.38

The second race was run backwards, and the laps times reflected the increased difficulty of the reverse direction. Jano was the only one to break 22 seconds, with a 21.58. Chris ran a 22.03 for second, and Jim picked up third with a 22.11.

For the third and final race, we started with a standing start and ran the normal direction on the small track. Practice apparently makes perfect, because the times were much better this time around. The winner of heat one would have finished in 7th in the final!

Ron picked up third, with a very respectable 20.84. Jayson beat him by only .01 seconds, with a 20.83, to take the second podium spot.

And in first place......

With a 20.73............

Jano!

The final finishing order in its entirety was:

  1. Jano
  2. Jayson
  3. Ron
  4. Ken
  5. Rob
  6. Chris
  7. Geronimo
  8. Wes
  9. James
  10. Tillman
  11. Jim

Is that Rob saying he isn't coming? That someone else might have a chance to win tonight?

Excellent.

Bump this up. I talked to Sam the manager a few minutes ago, he promised that there's nothing in our way. If you were there last time, don't forget your race tickets.

In the meantime, go drive your cars. It's beautiful outside!

Well THIS blows. My wife has to fly to NYC tomorrow, won't be back until late Tues night. Time for creative solutions.

I will try to make it. I am taking the Patent Bar exam that day in Alrington, but that should be over in plenty of time for me to get to TBC.

TBC really fouled up and scheduled a large enduro over the top of our event.

The races have been rescheduled to April 15th (taxday!) at 7:00 PM

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused...
