I don't know what index was at the time but I drove about 6pm on Sunday and turned a 33.9 We argued about the Pro index all afternoon I don't know if it's the same guy or what but I feel you would want the same person to do it everytime and have him do about 6 practice runs in the morning. That way his times would ideally reflect the course conditions and not his ability to drive the course better. Like I said, I am not even sure how they do it right now. I felt my time was good but I made a big bobble out of the Texas Two step which left me slow in the second slalom. Those couple tenths would have made a huge difference at the front of the field, but that's why you ain't supposed to screw up when the big dogs are running. |

Damon, good job, I saw you placed top 50 or so, I was 120 or so overall with 529 points. I guess even with my 33.8 my pro index threw me off. That's what I get from going the second day when they were familiar with the course and first thing in the morning when the cool air had the horsepower up. I think the best strat would be first thing Saturday morning as even the pros wouldn't be very use to the course yet. |

RevItUp results are up. Go to http://www.mazdarevitup.com/results/f_default.asp scroll to the bottom and enter last names to compile your group. Print the list, bring it to your next get together and make the losers pay for the beer |

Sorry, I couldn't make it. I got back from Atanta, Ga friday night, went to Wheels & Keels in Clear Lake, TX on Saturday, & had my SOLO II event on Sunday. A very busy week. |

I ran late Sunday afternoon after the autox. I have no idea what the index was but turned a 28.1 on the practice course with a 33.9 on the competition course; heavily botched the exit of the Texas Two Step. I kept out of the cones but was left slow through the second slalom. My car was the last one left in the lot and I still had to change tires before I could get home |

I think it was 31.9 and change. Nobody there was even close to hitting that number. The "training" was just about useless, but about what one would expect for $40. We spent some time ragging on the test cars -- the Miata handled great, the 6 sedan sucked, and I didn't get a chance to get in anything else. The RX8 was suffering from some serious build quality issues. I don't think I'll buy one of those. Chris, we were out there about that time, but I didn't see you. |

When I did the Rev It Up, I think the Pro time was almost 32 seconds. It was a high 31, but closer to 32 seconds. Tillman, do you remember the exact number? |

I did Mazda Rev It Up first thing Sunday morning. I thought it was OK, I was only there to try and be competitive. I didn't realize you could test drive the RX-8. I was just in my competition tunnel vision. What was the pro time when you guys did it? I swear I got screwed and they laid down a ridiculously low time Sunday morning. Our index time was about 30.4. I haven't autocrossed in over a year and with never competing with a front wheel drive car that's the end of my excuses. I guess I sucked, my first run I went 33 something, but hit a cone. I just wanted to get a clean run up, so went 33.8 on the second run and it was clean, but when I left I was around 10th for the weekend. For anyone going for the win, I think you just have to let it all hang out and try for the perfect run. |

Rob - Sorry I missed you (I forgot you were out there on Saturday). I went to MazdaRevItUp; it was OK. Suprisingly, I kinda liked the RX-8. It was cool that they had a few models you could actually get into. Tillman - I thought I saw you coming out of Chalk Talk just after 1015am. I "shouted" out a couple of times, but don't think you heard me. Didn't see you again for the day. Chris. |

today was much better, worked until 10:30 pm last night on my exhaust and was there first thing this morning. I had it done about 30 minutes before our qualifying at 11am. Qualified 7th of 15, which was two better than yesterday and moved up two places to finish at 5th. Should be some great video! Jayson and Greg Scott stopped by. |

I'm in the Busch garages, Paddock A garage 13. Today was a rough day, I'll explain later. Hopefully I get the car back together by qualifying tomorrow. |

If I'm out there, I'll be working F&C Friday & Saturday. I have a Solo II autocross on Sunday in Texas City. I'll see what I can do.

I'll be racing Friday and Saturday in the SRX7 #6 (white w/blue stripes), Sunday morning in the Mazda Rev it up, and spectating the National classes Sunday afternoon. Come out and watch me race Friday or Saturday. I'll have one of the NASCAR garages, so come by and say hi. Sunday afternoon I'll be up in the stands of NASCAR Turn 1 so you can give me a call on the cell. You can walk around the pits and there will be much going on along with some car club gatherings. Harrison Williams in his 355 C should be racing in T1. I don't know if there will be any other Ferraris. If you've never watched club racing before, you've missed the most "entertaining" of all motorsports viewing. Throw 30-50 cars of various speeds with fastest ones reaching 160 MPH before the chicane in the hand of various ability drivers from first timers to X-pros like Bobby Archer and some of the Foyt relatives. Here's the official event site... http://www.scca-gpt.com/ Here's the video of me doing a lap in last years race... http://www.spec7.org/videos/TMS020713SRX7.mpg |
