If Greg's friend Mark drives his Maser. We really won't know until the day. Jayson, Chris, and whoever should still come. They can pile into their cars if there's not a F car seat open. We're not going to leave anyone out, especially Jayson and Chris who come to all our events.

I might give that car video duty though.

Figured FoD would enter on site which is fine. Jonathan told me he would try to round up something. Greg Brendel is out of town as is Ric Rainbolt.

And no, have not heard from your neighbor or the guy in my building with the 360.

We prob won't know from FoD until Saturday. Haven't heard from Jonathan or Mike in ages.

Has a guy named DJ Quigley entered yet? That was my neighbor down the street that was going to enter a few cars.

Rob is FoD still entering a car?
Jonathan Peck..you entering one?
Mike Weaver?

Cool, Greg's Lotus isn't back yet and I would at least like to keep it Italian. The person that was riding with Greg may bring his Maser bi-Turbo, but not sure.

Jim, Diane Glaser isn't an internet person, but said if her car (355) was back Friday that she would like to enter. I told her it was OK to enter at the last minute.

Anyone local to the area try to get your entry in the mail tomorrow, if not we'll accept your entry Saturday morning. Be prepared though, I will give 110% grief because we've been telling everyone to get their entry in since Feb. 12th!

Also, there will be a gas stop later in the day, but I would recomend everyone start with a full tank.

Rob and Jim,
I am sorry but I am one of the procrastinators who has not gotten his entry form in yet. However I will be attending the Poker Run Saturday. Since I am out of town currently and will not be back until Thursday, will it be ok for me to bring the application with me to FOD Sat AM? Mark LaCroix F348

19 cars confirmed. 35 folks. Still have 2 entries I know of that have not mailed in yet. Expect maybe 2 or 3 others at begin time. So hopefully 23+.

Car list is a mix of 360, 355, 348, 328, 308, 456, TR, 365.

Got some prizes for you all in the mail this week and they are pretty cool. I think this will be fun for a first attempt!

Great!
I think 15 cars and 27 people confirmed. 4 360's at this point...1 spyder. I keep getting about 1 or 2 new entries every day or so and I expect some to just show up as well on the day of. Was expecting about 20+ cars and I know of 2 or 3 others who haven't sent in forms yet.

so that makes 4 beggars..myself included..and 4 open seats. Not sure on the San Antonio fella as I have never met him and he may bring somebody, but didn't indicate so on his entry form.

Had a dream last night I was in a red 355 spider with my ex girlfriend and we were in her neighborhood and 3 houses in a row had ferraris...a yellow 348, a 355 and another 355 spider. I was flipping out because I didn't have any poker run entries to put in their cars.

This shouldn't be this big of a deal!!!!

Only the driver needs the form. Free for passengers. Seems like there's a big demand for passenger seats.

We should start a waiting list. Let me know if I'm wrong, but first I heard to ask was Jayson, then Hawley's friend Pam, and now Chris.

Yes, Jayson was looking for a seat too. I was thinking Jim should ride with me as he has done the route and it will help for the two organizers to be together. I believe Greg already has a passenger, but we can ask him tomorrow night. Jerry and Susan have a good friend that would be interested in a ride if available. She's single and hot, I know, I was giving her a back rub when Jennie showed up early after taste of Addison last year. LOL. Jennie wasn't even phased about that, she was mad at me for getting my clothes wet and being in the condition anyone would be in after a day of "Taste of Addison".

It's not ME you have to worry about keeping up with, it's the kid in the Civic/Camaro/Pickup.

Have we given thought to the number of cars/passengers? I think Jim S. is going to ride w/ me, but is Rob's car full? Is Greg S. going? It would make sense that we try to get a butt in every seat.

Here's the deal. At each stop you will get directions to the next stop. You can follow Jim S. and I as a group or you can go your own way. We're not even going to be trying very hard to keep everyone together. I won't be slowing down much for a light or speeding up. I will just be going a nice consistent pace. There's no way we'll be able to keep 20+ cars together the entire time. However, you'll have the directions and know the next stop. If you get to the next stop after we've already left (some stops as short as 10-15 minutes) then there will be a sealed emergency listing of all stops and the expected times of arrival and departure. At the end of the day, all teams that didn't have to open the sealed emergency directions will get an extra card.

Quickie question here: We are going to have directions, just in case we don't feel like keeping up with Jim E, right? :-)

More seriously, does anyone have any recommendation on FRS style radios? Are they interoperable? I was thinking that having a few of them along isn't a bad idea.

I just drove part of the route last night. Oh my gosh! I'm glad we're doing this as it's forced me to learn some new roads. Who says Dallas doesn't have some cool driving roads?

We already have over 15 Ferraris entered and it's still growing because of you late entry people. Please motivate a little and mail the form in or bring to karting tomorrow night. Jim and I would prefer we don't get them next week as we've got to plan for several things.

The Poker Run is only $30. There are cool stops, cool drives inbetween, and a nice place to enjoy our cars, food, and drink afterwards. For those that don't want to loose the entire day, the event will be over by about 2-2:30 if you don't want to hang out.

I think we have the capacity for as many cars as want to sign up. We already know it's going to be impossible to keep all the cars together all the time. We're not going to worry about keeping cars together at lights and etc. Each car will have directions to the next stop and sealed emergency directions to all the stops if they miss one. At each stop we'll regroup and leave together to the next one. You'll get a card at each stop and a bonus card if you complete the entire run without using the sealed emergency directions.

Like Jim said, we don't want too many signing up the day of.

Got a couple more apps last night...a 360 and a 355. At this point Rob and I have not put a cap on the number of entrants. My concern is that some will procrastinate and we will have 20 extra people show up on the day of the event and we won't have materials for them. We normally have about 13 cars show up for random events so I expect 20 to 30 for this one and we are well on our way to that number.

If you don't plan on doing it because of the FCA membership requirement or any other issues, please send me an email [email protected].

Well the apps are starting to roll in since Rob's mass mailing last week. Get in now so we can have good estimates. Even if you don't have your FCA info go ahead and send in the form for my sake!

Rob and I drove the route last week and it was pretty fun. We have tried to mix up the route with curvy back roads as well as open stretches and we have activites planned at most of the stops.

Greg Scott will probably be looking for a passenger too. Only requirements are hot females 18-28. However, he did let something slip last night about 10 year old boys. Did anyone catch that?

Sneaky Jim, but it may work. Jim S. would have to be the driver listed and you the passenger though. I think.

You just have to be a FCA member, car doesn't matter, but of course Ferraris are recomended. I would suggest the non-Ferrari owners to hook up with members that are going it alone.

Well Rob and I have been working on this for a bit now. It will be a blast and we expect a really good turnout so don't delay in getting the date reserved and signing up.
