Damn I hate loading this thread! I went to view the link and got the audio portion, but not the video. I'm using WMP 7.00. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be?

I was in Tulsa for the weekend. I am re-uploading several copies of the file in avi, mpeg2 and wmv format. Couldn't get it to convert to just mpeg. I was able to watch it on CD, but it was jerky due to my grandma's computer being underpowered I think.

Rob the files are as follows.
FerrariNewsSegment.avi 509,904KB
FerrariNewsSegment.m2v 100,868KB
FerrariNewsSegment.mpa 3,768KB Not sure what this is?
FerrariNewsSegment.wmv 28,090KB

Jim Schad sent me a soft copy and I think Evan did an awesome job. I'm glad they came out. If they left my stuttering ass out of there it would of been perfect. :-)

I'll upload it to the server for everyone, but the copy I have is crashing about 1/3rd the way through. So I'll upload it after I get a good copy.

I don't know if Jim is out of town. If someone brings a good copy Tuesday night I will capture it myself.

I do have video of the cars at the stops... good quality digital... I filmed at least some at every stop, I think.

I didn't really get any of the train of cars while driving (I was driving). I tried out the new camera on my in-car mount at MSR, but I had it mounted too high... I mostly filmed my rear view mirror... there might be a worthwhile picture or two as we go around corners, but it's a pretty lame track video, unfortunately.

well my video is not very good. mostly out the front window of the car and some out the back. as we were in front I never got any of the train of cars. I have some at MSR that is decent. I got Jim E's video and it is better than mine, but only 7 minutes. I have 250 pics from here so that is fine. I was hoping somebody had video of some of the stops.

Jim,

Sorry, I've been offline for a while... big urgent stuff at work. I video'd the event with my new camera and can capture 640x480 pics out of any of that. Anything in particular that you're missing pics of? Or anyone else have any particular requests? Let me know, and I'll see if I happened to video it.

All - Something funny and unexpected. I was watching the news last night @ 130am (channel 38; TXCN) and lo and behold -- a news spot for the poker run! Saw ~30 seconds of it, including the infamous Rob interview. Looked great.

Sounds great!

We picked up an executive membership @ MSR a few weeks ago, but Saturday was the first time to drive on the track :-)

We should be out there this summer--- we should organize a Ferrari Track event @ MSR.

Just the regular 355 Challenge series set up. I don't think there's anything extra. Tony just told me the data acquisition system was $6,000! I can't wait to play with that.

I'll put in the SCCA cage which will help it's value. Ferrari doesn't run the 355 Challenge anymore, so the FIA cage is only good for track days. The SCCA cage will be good for all forms of racing and track days.

I will also add a racing seat, harness, and widow net to the passenger side to scare the money out of sponsors wallets!

Are you and your dad members at MSR or plan on it with the Le Mans car?

Oh, I've already sat in it. The seat is way up, FoD will be moving the seat to fit me.

Once they get the SCCA legal cage installed I can pick it up. I have stuff going on every weekend until the end of May anyway, so I was hoping to have it about then to test late May or early June.

Rob, that is one TIGHT seat. When I was getting out of the car, I banged my elbow pretty hard on the camera mount. SO BE CAREFUL. I thought you would have sat in it by now. SORRY for stealing your thunder.

When are you going to be able to pick it up and run it on the track?

Man, that FoD building really looks nice. I only seem to be able to get by after they close or on Sunday so I have not been able to see what you guys got on the tour. I heard they even have a theater inside. What is the area with the low ceiling and dark lighting in the pictures? I see the beautiful showroom and some pictures that look like the service area but cannot figure out the dark pictures with the low roof.

Stef and I had a great time. My face hurt from grinning all day. All the stops were great, and it was a blast seeing all the other cars on the road with everybody waving at each other and taking pictures and such. The musclecar show and the Duke's reprise was good too! Enjoyed meeting some new people, hope we can get more out at the other events.

Thanks to Rob and Jim for doing a great job putting this on.

Yeah i hear ya.

The worst was getting stuck behind minivans (argh!), trucks (argh!), and other slow drivers on the two-lane roads where passing wasn't allowed.

Other than that, the pace was usually pretty good :-)

Some drifts are intentional, others aren't! Yesterday's was. I got SO tired of taking those corners slowly, I just gassed it going around.

Thanks Rob, Nice meeting all of you!

Here are some of the pics, you guys can email me ( [email protected] ) for fullsize versions...unfortunately most of them were taken through the bug-ridden windshield of the 456 so they're a bit blurry at larger resolutions.

My favorite part of the last stop was when the redneck guy in a black tank top asked me 'Which one of them cars is the baddest?'. Ummmm.....

glad everyone had fun. I was thinking next time to make it shorter and start in the country like rob suggested and work our way back to town after driving some remote roads. One thing too. I would like to have hung out more at the final stop to socialize etc as we can't talk while on the road. Of course everyone had to get home after being gone since 7am.

I loved the look on the people's faces on the patio as each ferrari drove up to park.

LOL, I came back to life about an hour ago. It's taken this long to eat, rehydrate, shower, and reapply Milk of Magnesia all over my face and arms. You should see my face, looks like I have one of those female clay masks on.

The day worked out great, only big bummer was we lost Rodney and Marci. Our directions getting to the Marina were off as I had got the bright idea to rework the route at the last second and we didn't get all the directions on the sheet.

Over the next few hours I'll get the pictures out here and create a page on www.fcadfw.com.

BTW, Ron/Steph, Jerry/Susan, Don, Greg and I went to a car show up at Chucks at Trinity Mills and Tollway. The famous hot Pam even showed up to cheer us on. Ron and Don were just display only, but Greg won the Special interest class and Jerry got second in the 80's class.

That was from about 5:30 to 8 and then we went back to Duke's again! That place has to be one of the most happening later at night. The patio was shoulder to shoulder, inside was shoulder to shoulder, and I won't incriminate anyone, but there was dancing on the tables among other things.

I got tons of video. I will have my stepdad, an editor for TV Guide edit the stuff and burn to disk then mail to everyone.

Thanks to everyone for coming out. I know it wasn't perfect, but your participation was much appreciated and your suggestions are welcomed.

It was so cool to see almost 20 ferraris with owners of various backgrounds all come together for a common cause. Also, it was so cool for all out sponsor stops to host our visits and let us into their world. Not only was it a benefit for them, but also for us.

We look forward to more events and also planning next years poker run.

Thanks,
Jim
