We need to get some more Mondials and 12's in our group. My 12 can't come until I pay off the first two plus Jennie gets her house. It might be awhile!

The driv/ride was defintely enjoyable. Wouldn't be a bad idea to do it again in my opinion.

Like Jayson, the question remains to be when oh when to get the car?

I have a couple (3 or 4) extra tickets for this weekends event @ TMS if anybody is interested. Let me know. The tickets indicate it will cost you $10 to get in. They're good for both days this weekend. Tillman and I will be there Saturday.

FYI, The driving (riding) was fabulous this weekend. I'm now trying to figure out how soon I can get my car...hum

"skanks bar and grill"
LOL, too funny :-)
I noticed us Chevy guys do stuff a little different, then you Fcar guys when it comes to get togethers. I organized an event a cpl mos ago, and we talked how our next event would be A BBQ at mods house(just got a new house) or, what we really liked was going up to Temple and have a BBQ. But, I have noticed you guys are tad more passionate about your cars, which is a good thing of course :-)

I think everyone enjoys the driving events for sure, but I also like to get to talk to the guys and become friends with them. I think doing events with them and then talking creates a bond more than just showing up at Carson's.

You are right. The older crowd probably isn't too interested in hotties and beers at skanks bar and grill. Some don't drink much either. Also some may prefer day events rather than night.

What about a sat/sun morning breakfast run? Wouldn't take all day.

Or what about a picnic/cookout at whiterock lake or something like that? Bring the kids, play some games, eat some food take a drive whatever.

Also, not sure how this could be an "event" but I think it would be cool to get to ride in various models of cars. Maybe you own a 308, but have never ridden in a 360 or vice versa. WOuld be cool to mix it up. I think we all want to ride in the other cars, but it seems rude to ask and the other party feels weird saying "hey, wanna ride in my car"

A few like Tillman and Jayson are coming out to watch me race this Saturday. The thread is here in the Texas section.

I'm trying to get "fine dining" outings started to contrast the exotic car nights. I think these will attract some of the older membership.

I think we should do more actual driving events, that was fun. It's easy to get insurance and organize. The Bob Smith Coachworks tour will be a fun drive and tour. We should add at least one more rally for the fall. Any ideas on what type of rally?

Kevin is looking at a track event and a conours in the DFW area. Not sure if that will work out or not. I'm not organizing that one.

So what do we want to try to plan? I know we have the carting things and the Exotic Car Nights. Those seem to bring out the same cars which is great, but what can we do to get others interested? Personally I like just meeting and hanging out, but that is what I like to do. Maybe when Rob gets the challenge car going we could go to races.

Just trying to figure out what brings some people out yet others choose to stay home.

So what does everyone prefer to do?
