I haven't taken it back in yet. I suspect looking under the console (see other thread) that the wiring to that switch is toasted too. Unfortunately, there's no way to tell which happened first, so I'm probably just out the $$. I think once I fix the wiring issues the AC will be OK, because the original diagnosis was "dirty switch, plus change belt and tensioners due to wear". |

I suffered a small electrical fire this morning in my 328. Details are in this thread but I must have titled it badly as no one has responded. Does anyone have any suggestions for troubleshooting the lighter, or at least the location of the fuse that will kill the lighter for now? Thanks
