Come on, Jim. Southlake has beautiful terrain and wonderful homes. Just think of the wine cellar you could build into this one:

Leaving at 8:30am I'm in Las Colinas by 8:50-55. Leaving work at 5pm I get home at 5:30-40. It will be much better when 114 is done at Caroll and White Chapel. Even in rush hour I bet my commute goes down to 15-20 minutes. It takes me 15 minute max with no traffic at 2:30am in the Ferrari ignoring the cops.

Here's the fine garages we can store your Ferrari in at Southlake...

Moving to Southlake would shorten my commute by miles only! I've driven out 114 at rush hour, it makes 635 look like a country road!

I think I've got the timing down now, takes about 35 minutes. Enough time for about 2 beers. If I was drinking them while I was driving. Which I wouldn't do, because that would be illegal.

Jim, we can probably get you into a nice place here and shorten your commute substantially. The market looks pretty good right now and, well, you know interest rates are really low. As a matter of fact, my next door neighbor's house is for sale. The interior is completely redone and immaculate... I think he used granite-look-alike countertops.

Ouch... I made a similar move... that stretch of LBJ (there was no Bush then) was a damn parking lot... took an hour to go those 7 miles.

You don't want to hear this, Jim... but after about 6 months of that, I couldn't take it any more and we moved west of I35 (Coppell). Now the trip to Las Colinas is less than 15 minutes... unless I am in the Ferrari, in which case I take the back twisty roads... 22 minutes... but 22 fun minutes.

Yuck, Jim! I used to live in Dallas. That 22 miles probably takes you an hour+ each way?

YUCK!!!

My office moved this week from Richardson (2.2 miles from home) to Las Colinas (22.2 miles from home). The good news is, now I can stop and buy beer as I leave work, and I actually have time to drink a couple before I get home. Not that I WOULD drink them, that would be illegal. But I have time! And no, I wasn't in the Ferrari.
