BTW, I won both the NASCAR races with 7 of us! However, I lost all the 355 C battles, but what in the heck do I know about road racing and a 355 C. |

Worst case scenario in my mind is Speedzone or D and B's. We should continue to meet, but we can race on video at D and B's, or if the timers work at Speedzone. And they have beer on Tuesdays. |

That's a good question. I like the competition, but everyone knows I'm a little psycho when it comes to that. Many more options if we just want a hang out place. No reason we can't alternate it too. I still want to make a good attempt at finding a kart place we can work into a competition. I believe the grand prix cars scoring was broken. They just post them on the board, right when they opened they use to give time slips, but not anymore. We would need someone to write down the times. Best of 3 runs type thing and then the rest of the night could be casual. It's hard to beat that $30 all you can drive in 4 hours deal. |

are we looking for another "race" venue or just a reason to hang out/get together? Does anyone golf, basketball? Saturdays are probably not good as golf is long. I just enjoy the hanging out more so than the stiff competition. They have intramural leagues for football, vollyball, softball etc. I know teams of lawyers so why can't we have a team of Ferrari guys? |

I thought the Speedzone Grand Prix cars just had the timers turned off? I was thinking it was because of the 'race all you want' time of day. |

Damn, the place in Mesquite looks FAR away. There used to be an indoor place around Miller Rd and 635, I'll see if it's still there next time I drive by. |

I think we'll be able to find something very quick. There are at least a dozen go kart tracks in the area. We just need to find the best one. I'm sure TBC is the best in the area facilities wise, but I think the Speedzone outing proved we can have fun without TBC. If someone can scout this one that Tillman mentions and we'll start checking out the others as well. The only thing that will make a location better than Speedzone I believe is if they have accurate timing. Until Speedzone fixes the timing on the Grand Prix (might be fixed by now) there may not be a way to make a competition out of it. We might just decide that a competition isn't necessary. We might just want it to be casual like Speedzone was last time. Another thing is the real karts up in Denton, however, I think that would be pretty pricey and I don't believe there's one rental company that would have 10+ equal karts for us to get on the real track. Those things go 70+ mph too. That's serious racing, but just something to consider. http://www.ntkarters.com/Track/trackinfo.htm |

Just curious. They're located at 1630 E. Hwy 80 by Galloway road. Is there anyone in the area over there that can check the facility out? http://makeashorterlink.com/?N23551094
