Sorry to hear about. Filing charges with police is the best option. Keep us posted.

Filed a Class C Assault charge yesterday afternoon. The HPD officer said we have to wait about 5 days before an officer gets assigned to the case (whatever that means?).

My friend's uncle has a law degree so I think he's going to guide us the rest of the way.

Thanks for the tips guys.

Jason,
File police charges first. It will make a civil suit easier.

This happened about 1 hour ago, and we're both trying to gather ourselves.

Call my friend "Dirty" Harry Callahan at the firm of Smith & Wesson.

Just kidding, Jason. Sorry about your friend.

Don't you think the police would be a better/cheaper/more effective option???

Can anyone recommend a good lawyer?

A friend of mine was assaulted today and would like to take some action.

Thanks!
