James, what year is the CLK? Mileage? Color? Price? I need a new car but am not sure what I want yet. Also debating on some new real estate so that may affect how much I spend on a car. I never knew the TT coupe had a back seat. |

Holly, No offense taken on my part. I just did not want to fall into the trap of someone who comes on here just to advertise his goods and then get off. I am a true Ferrari enthusiast and was very torn on leaving FoDallas. Rob, if you ever feel I am getting too commercial, please feel free to jump on me. After all, I will let you know if I think someone is using this site for free advertising only. |

Holly, You have to realize that Raleigh had already been by to see me and I was not in. I was letting him know what options I might have for him now. And, by the way, yes it is nice to have some nice cars in inventory for people to see without having to travel all over the metroplex. You may not know me but I know many of these guys personally by my previous involvement at Ferrari of Dallas so I feel I am just relaying some info. If someone wants to drop by to see me, great. If not, that is okay too. I would love to see five or six Ferraris pull in at one time. The other guys here would just fall out. Holly, I was with BMW for 17 years before I went to Ferrari of Dallas and still drive a BMW myself. Where did you get your "5"? I might have been there. Just curious. You don't have to say unless you want to. Have a good one.

How about a Mondial? 4 seats, cheaper service. Get a 3.2 or a T, you'll have a nice ride. Major services aren't that bad, you can easily do one with the money you'd save from buying a P car. |

No Honda? What about an NSX? Not a bad comromise. Being a Porsche owner with a young-un, I can vouch for the ability to put a car seat into a Boxster, or the front seat of a 911. They sell a wiring harness which will dis-able the passenger side air bags, along with a really cool Recaro baby-racing seat once he gets out of the initial infant seat. A tenth of a point for a Porsche! Bah ;) |

I will not be here Thursday of this week but here the rest of the time. Or you can contact me directly at [email protected] or (817)424-2834. And please no, not a Honda!!!! |

We actually went and looked at the 911's yesterday. She doesn't like the coupe and I don't like the cab, so she came back with the Boxster. I asked about the backseat issue and she said, "as long as it can hold a child seat." I see that as a green light for a 308 or 328. |

James, I stopped by twice last week. Wednesday you had already left and Thursday you were off. I was looking at that 996 C2 on your lot. I got to drive it. I still like the 993 more. Don't worry guys. I dream of owning a 355 or even a 328, but the misses says no due to the cost of timing belt services and standard up keep. She did agree to a Porsche though. That isn't a bad settlement. I think it went, "I want a Ferrari." She said, "I want kids!" So I repeated, "I want a Ferrari." She said, "It has to have a back seat, so you either get a Honda or a you can have a Porsche." I think I won? |

No flame war at all, James. Not sure where you got that idea. Also never said Boxsters were as exciting to see on the street as a Ferrari. But then the initial comment wasn't with respect to "exciting cars to see" but whether a car was a "real sports car" or not. "Exciting to see", or exclusivity, does not equate to "real sports car" was my only point. And like I said...all in good fun. Who can lose these days with so many amazing cars to choose from. We are truly blessed to be in an automotive golden age right now. |

Hill, It would certainly not have to be Italian to be a true "sports car". I was with BMW for 17 years before going to Ferrari and I can tell you that a well prepared M3 is certainly hard to beat on any given day. The Porsches can be a lot of fun and I would consider a Z06 Vette as most bang for the buck when considering new. I also agree with Rob that the Mini Cooper S can be a real blast. I believe you did not understand my first post about the Porsche Boxster. They are much more common on the street and do not invoke as much awe as a Ferrari, or a Lambo, or a McLaren F1, or any of the other "true exotics". I had no intention on starting a flame war of a "my car is better than your car" here. But, I believe you will agree with me that a Porsche Boxster, however nice it may be, is nowhere near as exciting to see on the street than a Ferrari. If you believe they are as exciting to see, I believe you need to spend a little time behind the wheel of a Ferrari. A little seat time will do wonders to knowing the brand better. |

By no means am I hinting at exclusivity makes the sports car. I just meant that one reason you don't see many Ferraris on the race track is that there aren't that many Ferraris. Two years ago a 360 finished on the podium I think in BSP at Topeka, Mike Fletcher (sp?) use to AX/Track the heck out of his 348 locally, and I've done both in the 328. Just saying that you do see a proportionate number of Ferraris on the track. A real sports car? I think a Mini cooper could win most definitions of a sports car. Like I've said before, my 1st gen Rx7's lap MSR 2-3 seconds a lap faster than the 328 and they have less than half the horsepower. www.chicksdigitracing.com |

heh Okay Rob, you are hinting at the "exclusivity makes a REAL sports car" silliness, too, but you have my butt KICKED when it comes to pictures of cuties leaning on your car. ;) Of course, I haven't tried...hmmmm... I bow to your superior babe-age! Zowie! :-D IMO...the best sports car out there is the Miata. Inexpensive, handles, brakes, and is funfunfun. The rest of us are just rationalizing overspending (myself included). There are probably a handful of Rolls Royces in the DFW area. Does make them "real" sports cars? Don't think so. P.S. Can I borrow some of your slimy girls with cooties? :D PPS Where is the legend for the fancier emoticons? |

Ferrari on tour...
Ferrari on AX...
Ferrari on track...
Ferrari next to track (sorry, no action shots yet)...
But do you let slimy girls with cooties touch your Porsche ...
I hear you Hill, I think these activities are the most fun and we need to do more of it in the Ferrari club. The Porsche club is just awesome with the diversity of and participation at events, but then again you have tens of thousands of Porsches in DFW. There are only about 800 or so Ferraris. Our ratio ain't half bad. FoD/FoH haven't been doing as many track days lately, but I don't understand why more Ferrari owners aren't MSR members or do the other DE events. |

"Real"? Heh Methinks your definition of "real" is "Italian". Too easy to be smack that one out of the park, so I will resist. I will say I bet you my "fake" sports car sees more track time than 95% of your "real" ones. And tours. And AXs. And TTs. Oh, and gets me to work every day. Did I mention that? All in good fun. Hill, You have to understand. I came from a Ferrari/Maserati background to an Audi store. We did not get excited at the Ferrari store to see a Boxster pull up on the lot. Here, the other salespeople get all worked up when they see one. Yes it is a good sports car but a Ferrari is a REAL sports car. I can always take a good-natured ribbing or any other type for that matter. Glad you are on Ferrarichat. |

Scott, I did not get your private mail. I cannot tell you here the story involved in me leaving FoD but you can be asssured it had nothing to do with any difference of opinion between myself and FoD. I left on good terms and remain on good terms with them. Fact is, I would highly recommend FoD to anyone looking for a new or pre-owned Ferrari or Maserati. Working with them was a great experience and I will value the time I spent there. I know, I would hear every day that I had to be the luckiest guy in the world to have a job like I had. I was fortunate to get to experience all I did and must thank Giuseppe Risi for giving me the opportunity he did and the trust that he showed me. Do not think there was anything wrong on either side there. I highly respect Mr. Risi and I believe he has a certain amount of respect for my work ethic also. You may contact me at [email protected] if you want.

William, Ours is a privately owned dealership. Not a part of any others. It is owned by Bobby Baillargeon, a real car guy. His family owned Baillargeon Ford in Richardson for about 20 years before selling it three years ago. He was picked over David McDavid and John Eagle to open the new point in Tarrant county. You would like Bobby. He came up thru the ranks, working in service and gaining his master tech ranking, worked in parts, used cars, new cars and all the other depts. before getting involved with the family operation. He is currently restoring a 1970 Chevelle muscle car himself and drives our Lambo Diablo VT home at night. One of the new A8L's came in yesterday. I was with BMW for 17 years before Ferrari and so I feel I know the Audi competition pretty well. This new A8L is awesome. 345hp, Quattro drive and more room than a 745Li. And the navigation system is DVD operated, not CD. Very easy to operate. Bose sound system--you name it. Neat car, and priced lower than BMW 745Li or M/B S500. Des, I will have to tell you the story about Jere some day. He is doing well and says hello and that you still need to clean the jelly donut glaze off your computer keyboard. Or was that Twinkies???? |

Chris, Thanks, I look forward to you coming by. How is the 512TR doing for you? You should see the guys here whenever something the least bit exciting comes by. I think they would fall out of their chairs when they see a Ferrari. A plain Porsche Boxster drove in the other day and they all became excited. I guess being around Ferrari's and Maserati's for as long as I was might have jaded me just a little. Hope all is well in your household and business. |

Look at me, I goofed already, The S4 will have 340hp but will be a 4.2 liter V8 and not turbochaarged. The RS6 will have the 4.2 liter V8 with twin turbochargers and will have 450 hp, putting it in ballpark with the M5. Sorry for the goof. I am still trying to learn a new product to me. |

Jim, Thanks for the encouraging words. I always try to keep all my options open and at this time, this move look very encouraging to me. With all the new product coming out for Audi this year and all the stuff coming in the pipeline, they are positioning themselves very strongly in the market and really picking up the performance aspect. I really look forward to driving a 340 hp twin turbo Quattro drive S4 when they come out. 15 more hp than an M3, all-wheel drive and lighter weight. Sounds like a lot of fun to me. What a great daily driver. |

I was very surprised at the mix of inventory when I came here. Four Porsches including a red turbo and a black 911 Cab, M3 Coupe, 2 M3 convertibles, M5, E500, CLK55, CL55 and a bunch of TT's. 85 pre-owned vehicles in stock right now including a '94 Lambo Diablo VT. Come by for a visit some time and come in your Ferrari. I would love the see the look on these guys faces. The think a Porsche Boxster is a real sports car. We are on the north access road of 114 between Main St. and William D. Tate in Grapevine. I would really look forward to visiting with you. |

Hey guys, Just thought that I would let you know that I have settled in at Baillargeon Audi in Grapevine after leaving Ferrari of Dallas. We are currently in the process of building a new dealership on 183 (Airport Freeway) in Euless across the road from Park Place Mercedes and next to Grubbs Infinity. It should be ready to open in September or October. I was shocked to hear some of the new stuff that Audi is bring out this year. The A4 with a 4.2 liter V8 twin turbo with 340 hp and Quattro drive. The RS6 with 450 hp and twin turbos and Quattro drive. The A4 is supposed to go 4.7 0-60. I am really looking forward to getting them here. Call me at (817)424-2834 if you need to contact me. My old friend Jere Dunham says to tell all of you Hi!!!! He has been out of pocket for about three weeks now. |
