Chad,

I dont know if we need a free meal, but I do like the idea of them blocking off spaces for us. If enough of you are interested let me know and I will contact a couple of nice restaurants including Ferraris and see what they will do for us. Some places that come to mind are:
Ferre Ristorante E Bar, 3699 McKinney Ave
Paris (in the same area as the one above)
 Samba Room, 4514 Travis
 Nick and Sams, 3008 Maple

Let me know,

Nick

you think that maybe if we make a offer to the owners of the resturant that we would park our f-cars out from so they could use as advertising, i would defidently go to a resturant named ferrari's if i saw a picture of the resturant with -+10 fcars in front. you think they would givve us a free meal?

I have to agree the food there is excellent. I even took my 355 there the last time I ate. Great food and great service.

I would agree on Mi Piaci. We go there every couple of months or so.

Personally for far less money than either and very close to their quality is Paparazzi in Plano. Very experienced chef/owner from up north.

For upscale dining I actually recomend a place in Terrell of all places name JPier. The former exec chef from the Rivera is exec Chef.

Ferrari's is very good....better food than you would expect for the price and atmosphere.
My personal favorite is Mi Piaci....as mentioned below....will be there Saturday night at 7 with the Mrs. and of course the new 328!
Another good one is Eccolo....a little different but also good.

I remember going to Ferrari's a few years back for a post-game dinner with some of the Dallas Stars. It was great food, great service, and it was amazing to see the huge buckets of beer sitting in front of these guys. Apparently, some of them were regulars there for post-game feasts of pasta. Not sure if it's still true, since all the guys I went there with are either retired or have been traded.

I have been Ferrari's several times as I enjoy Italian food too. (matter of fact, I enjoy eating too much) I liked the name & people there, very courteous but friendly.
Mi Piace on Beltline & tollway (actually they locate on this small road off the Beltline) is also good. I like their Rissot (very fattenning so it tastes good)

They catered the pre-opening press day for FoD and it was very good. Very nice and professional folks.

I heard a few years ago that somebody famous owned it, maybe Tony Bennett? Maybe we should do an FCA dinner event there. Have them save the parking out front and line up the Ferraris in front of Ferrari's.

cool, use to live in the area and saw it all the time, but never went. I thought it was probably their last name and really had nothing to do with Ferrari.

We just tried out Ferrari's Italian Villa, a 4-star Italian restaurant (we'd give it 4 1/2)... truly recreates the atmosphere of Italy better than any other restaurant we've found yet... starting with the first greeting. Awesome service. The food was similarly excellent... the pasta was not quite Italy, but closer than we've found in the US. We tried several dishes and deserts and they were all fabulous. And given the name and the Ferrari racecar carving on the wall, definitely should appeal to this group!

The parking was okay... nothing special... but no damn valet that I have to avoid. I will bring my Ferrari next time. (When you first pull in, you'll see lots of valet stuff for Morton's Steakhouse... just drive on by that.)

Its on Midway just south of Beltline... just south of Duke's Roadhouse. Now, for most Ferrari club events, places like Duke's are still better (since many won't be okay with 4-star pricing), but they do have side-rooms where they can setup groups. So, if you are looking for a upscale place fitting for a Ferrari group, this has got to be it!

Tell them the Kennedy's sent you... (we plan to become regulars there... ;^)

Brian
