Sorry... have been neglecting the computer. Bob d & Jim E....thanks for the luch invite, saw it today....sorry I missed it, will try to make the next one.
Rob....your brake synopsis was my bible, a little tricky at first but all went well, the only snag was what looked like a sensor wire in the old pad? Wasn't sure what to do, just drilled a hole in the new pad, identical to the old one and went from there....works fine. Next job, oil and fuel filter.
Tillman, tried to post a pic but had some trouble, will get it done this weekend, I guess the protocol is to put it on the profile.
Yoshi...looks like you scored.....congrats!
Off now to do some paint chip repair with some funky new? product from Langka.....tested it last night, really worked well....I have 5 or so small spots to do....(I am pretty anal). Can't let the papparrazi see me in a chipped up Ferrari!!!

Welcome to the club, Francis! As Rob mentioned, we're neighbors! Looking forward to hearing more about your car. Post a pic in your profile!

We're a little short of 328's around here. We only have Bobs, Mine, Robs, Tillmans, and now yours. Oh yeah, and Yoshi wants one too! Is yours red?

When you change the oil, be sure you drain the engine and not the transmission! Common mistake.

Francis, I'm right next door in Southlake. Bobd with a 328 GTS and Dr. Gober with a 360 are here in Southlake too.

My rear pad job on the 328 is in the Parts & Service section. For oil just make sure you have the half way rare 12 mm hex.

Welcome!

Welcome!

First rule, pictures are required :-)

We're always up for a random meeting somewhere. We used to meet the second Tuesday evening of each month for karting; I believe that something similar is planned again starting in July. You just missed the F1 watching party this past weekend, but another one will be coming up for the USGP

The local Ferrari Club of America chapter is reorganizing. Most of the active members are on here also, but the official site is http://fcadfw.com/

If you're not familiar with Norwood's, you should go by there and say hello. They're good people and will help keep your car at it's bes

Welcome Francis!
Where did you find your '89? I've been looking too, for few months now, and gave up on '89. I lost 2 bids so far for '89 as my offer was $48 to 50K (GTB & GTS) Any excellent conditioned 328 would do for me now! I admire your effort to work on your own car, too!

Newbie here, Keller TX. Just took possession of a 1989 328 GTS on Saturday, after a long painful search. Would love to find out where/when your next event is. I have already found this site very useful as I am doing brakes, oil, and fuel filter on Thursday evening....all the while feeling confident that I will not destroy my new baby by using the excellent step by steps from this site. Am I missing anything else, i.e. Ferrari membership, etc. I would hate to find out six months from now that I blew it in my rookie season. Looking forward to meeting some of you in the very near future.
