Days at the coast? Lucky man. He actually has been seeing Fcars (too many years of me bugging him every time we saw one I guess). Apparently there is a fairly large dealer somewhere nearby (FoOrange County mabye?) that has a large stock on hand. He was very suprprise they were keeping them outside. |

I flew in to Burbank, headed west to the coast for a few days, but left from LAX. I had a driver (my boss), so I had plenty of rubberneckin time. Better luck next time. Since your brother's not a car guy, maybe he's only seeing camaros or porsches!! I know one guy who thinks hemi cudas are camaros (hehe). |

Thats odd, my brother is in LA and is the farthest thing from a car guy there is. He says he is getting tired of seeing them there are so many. He is up in the Burbank area though. |

Sounds fun, sorry I missed it. I've been down in the LA area all week. I was hoping to see hot and cold running Ferraris, being in Kalifornia and all, but didn't see a single one. Saw a few Fieros, though. |

Hey guys - That curb had to have been AT LEAST 12 inches away. At 70mph, that leaves all kinds of room left. Oh and Jim S, the look on your face as you flew by was priceless. Too bad we didn't have a camera! |

Just talking to the wife about the greatness of my drive last night. she says "now don't you let those guys talk you into buying a ferrari in the next couple months!" See she wants to not work and stay home with kiddo so I have to supplement the income to make up for that. Hard to say "honey you gotta work so I can have my toy" |

A modification on something I once read: "Ferrari driving makes heroin addiction look like a mild craving for something salty." Shall we start a pool? How long until Jim finally gives in and gets The Car

Tillman, Rob, No worry! There will always be next chance as long as we won't give up, right? It was my fault for not letting you guys know I was coming anyway. (I wasn't sure till 7:00 pm) Boys will be boys! 2 Jims sure sounds fun to drive with.

The 120 was in a straight line and I got off the gas immediately after I passed you. Scared me to death! That car has no limits or at least it's limits are higher than mine on a dark strange road. |

Ah yes, the curb! Long, fast, sweeping turn to the left. Jim takes it about 80mph and a little wide. Greg and I thought he might hit the curb...again! I had no idea the turn was so long and tight so the TR was getting squirly with me so I let off the gas just as Greg starts to tell me to let off the gas...then Jim disappeared around the turn. I thought he had pulled of because his tail lights went away so quickly. We also passed some late night joggers who about fell down turning aroudn when we flew by them. I feel like a heroin junky who just got his first fix! I need more! |

Thanks Greg for letting me drive the TR! Man that thing has some legs on it. Followed JimE around his secret back street drive. Long, curvy roads with zero traffic. Got up to 120mph at one point when I passed Jim doing 80mph. I think I was just coming out of 3rd gear!!!! Then Jim had a blue Durango chase him down. The guy went right by me. I think he was so excited he saw Jim's 328 that he didn't realize he drove right by another Ferrari. |

Rob, thanks again for driving the boys around the track, they couldn't quit talking about the racing this morning. The little one told me he 'nearly bent the gas pedal he was pushing it so hard'. Jim S, I can't believe you haven't posted your 'first time in my life' experience yet. Greg, Chris, Jim and I had some fun after you guys left. Greg seems to think my car has a magnetic attraction to curbs. |

It was a decent time. Have to treat the karts like Speedzone and not worry too much about times or competing. Course was awesome with the altitude changes, but the karts weren't all that fast and with the huge course there wasn't much head to head competition. Finally in the last lap of the last race I figured out the throttle cabble trick. I had been pulling on it for 4 laps and the last lap I got the correct technigue down. Yoshi, we headed to Fox and Hound over on 75 about 8. For the future here's my number, everyone in the club should have it to touch bases like this. ***-***-****.

Yoshi, you must have just missed us. We started arriving around 6, I think the carting began around 7, and about an hour later we decided to roll on to another location. There were 5 Fcars and Jim Schad's "where are my diplomatic plates?" luxo-barge. Sorry we missed you. |

5{ could make it tonight, so I showed up late around 8:00 pm. There was no Ferrari parked nor a corner blocked with orange corn, and I couldn't find the bar either. All I saw the next to cart course was putt-putt & some shopping plaza. After getting there, I realized I don't know anyone's face, so I wouldn't be able to find you guys. There were many people, so I left & went to see my friend. Anyway, it was a good drive with 328 & me tonight. Hope I will be able to see you guys next time! |

If I don't show, don't freak out. I've been having problems getting the 328 started in this heat. More likely it will start for the trip over, but not when we leave there. |

Wow, you can almost see my house from there! I'm in, should be there around 6:30. Would anybody be interested in piloting a 2 seat go cart for a race or 2? Both of my kids want to come, but I can only drive one of them at a time. I may have their grandma bring them, then take them home. |

This time around I didn't send out to the entire FCA DFW list, so it might be a little lighter turnout. This will be good to evaluate this place and also throw around our ideas for the future. |

There is no special license. It's about $18 for 3 races. When you turn in, go straight back; the parking will be on the left side in front of the karting place. |

The start is at 6pm, but it's a casual arrive, I'm sure we'll still be around 9pm+. Probably won't start the karting until closer to 7pm. Check the bar next door if my car is there and I'm not. |

The address of Adventure Landing is 17717 Coit. Here is a map from their website: http://www.adventurelanding.com/park_map.cfm?ID=6 The manager will have a section blocked off with orange cones for Ferrari parking. There is also a security guard onsite. Let's just go have fun until we find another place for serious karting. |

It's just a place that has go karts, miniature golf, video games, etc. It's NOT as nice as speed zone, nor does it have any type of timing apparatus. You just show up, give them $$$, and race. Jano is a member of the board, I guess he knows the manager of this place. |
