Rob if you have a scratch from the show please call Marci and let her know. The Town of Addison has event insurance to cover such things.

We talked to Bruce from the Town of Addison. We told him about the people getting into cars etc. He told us that he will put up signs everywhere next year and increase the police presence. We are also going to down size somewhat. We are going to limit the number of Mercedes, to allow for more space to spreadout. Part of the problem is the spacing between cars.

We are also going to work with FOD to bring out the big Truck etc. to replace the Planes. There will not be any planes starting next year.

Thanks to everybody for coming out.

Our next event is EURO Fiesta on 6/16 @ Rory Young's house in Lucas. This will be a BBQ, pool party and kind of easy going car show..

Rodney/Marci, ditto here on putting together another great event. A lot of people take this type of thing for granted but I know there's a lot of hard work involved in putting it all together... and a lot of work the day of the event. Thanks for a fun time!

Rob & Rodney, you guys are right. For some reason we thought Alec had a red 348C.... but now I recall the red 348 from last year's event was the other guy's car... it had mega-low mileage. Hey Rob.... Alec probably thought we were nuts the way we were challenging the color of his Challenge!

THX AGAIN!

Rodney, thanks to you and Marci for running such a great event. Taste of Addison has really taken off, which may be good and bad for us. More problems this year than last. People would jump in the cars and go through the gears without permission and people sitting on the cars! I have a nasty scratch and I was watching from a distance the girl that sat right on my drivers side door while her boyfriend took the picture. I can put up with fingerprints, but scratches and people running through the gears is not good. I guess the drawbacks of a public show. I never have that problem at the local "Sonic" type shows. I think the cars should be roped off next year. People can still get a close look, but it keeps the stupid people from doing stupid things. I can't even imagine the stuff I didn't see.

Thanks for running a great show!

Alec had a Red 328 before he purchased the 348 challenge.

Bob, I checked last year's pics. Alex did have the Yellow 348 C. For some reason I thought he had a red one and prob got you thinking that too.

I love that car!

Well, I tried. I should've checked here first, but I drove to Addison, saw the 'carnival', decided I lacked the motivation to go find you guys. Next time I'll check first to find out where you are.

Hope I can make it... the rain is messing up our little league playoff schedules. The only reason I'm not there will be because I'm coaching my kid's team to the Little League World Series!!! Of course we'll have to win about 50 more games to get there.
:-)

Really, I hope I can make it!

There is a small grass strip just behind the Ferrari parking area. Should not be a problem planting a flag. The parking lot is facing Addison road @ the convention center. Looks like we are now @ 6 Ferrari's. Still not beating the Mercedes though, they are @ 15.

Don't forget the preshow Dinner @ Compari's on Preston South of Spring Creek in Plano on Saturday @ 7:00 PM. If you are planning to attend please email me @ [email protected].

Jerry -

Here is an idea - go to Home Depot/Lowe's get an assortment of (cheap) THICK WALL PVC piping to fly your colors. Run 2 pieces with elbows and wedge them under one of your tires, connect these 2 to a "T" then run a few feet of "PVC Pole". Just a thought.

Last year the Ferraris were parked close to a fence or building I think.

It's in a parking lot.

I want to fly the colors as I did at the All British Car Show, ss there any grass or ground to anchor in? If not I may need to rethink.

You can also register @ the event no problem. Once you are there, they lock the gates behind us. They will open the gates @ 5:00.

We are starting to fall behind the Mercedes in registration. Hope to see more Italian cars again this year.

There might be a problem with that Jim, you have to be there I think before 10am and can't leave until the event is over Sunday afternoon. They lock you in there behind the fence. I was late last year and it was a big deal for them to take the fence down and move the crowd out of the way to park by the other F cars. When leaving the friend I brought had to leave early and I couldn't get out, so I had to buy him a cab ride home.

I can't be there for the whole day, but will try to come by when I get back to town. We can't have the masses thinking all Ferraris are red...
