The real problem is probably not points on your license, but rather the fact that your insurance will still find out. Not a problem if you use one of the big insurance companies, but a really big problem if you run collectors insurance. |

used to, Texas did NOT reciprocate with anybody...HOWEVER, over the weekend, i caught a segment on local TV dealing with new laws going into effect 9/1, and it sure looks like TX is going more more like other states: 'point' system, etc. My *best* guess is that you're ok, but like Al J. says, best to give DPS a quick call. |

Best thing is to just call DPS and ask. |

In Florida on I95, 4:18am driving from Miami to Austin, the Valentine 1 goes off, but too late, I slowed somewhat, but ended up with a pretty juicy ticket. Well, my wife decides to take a shift, 4:30am she gets one! We did make it back to Austin without any more. Does anyone know, for real, the deal on out of state tickets appearing on Texas DPS records, specifically Florida? Ive heard so many things about different states and their driving record "reciprocity", and I know Ive had tickets in NM and OK that didnt show up on my Texas record years ago. Thanks for any information. Mark McKenzi
