Jason, good point--folks should come to you with a problem they have with your behavior. Not sure what you mean by "elite" members though???

JRV, you wrote:

>>And get help for your small penis syndrome. <<

"What's up with the genitalia fixation?"

Its not a fixation--its an OBSERVATION. A guy as short in stature as you are, JRV, certainly has other 'shortcomings'. And, like most short men, your insecurities about these 'shortcomings' are plain as day to even the most casual observer of this board, and of your interpersonal behavior in public and in your shop.

"Let's see, who would stand to benifit the most if the local elections were uncontested and you could flame me into submission???"

Oh, stop being a jackass. I support and applaud democracy, which means contested elections. As I and others have said here repeatedly. Learn to read. Who benefits if you just whine & b!tch like a little schoolgirl but accept NONE of the good advice on how to contest an election that has been offered to you? Again, little guy, look at your own actions and words before flaming others'.

"Are you fixated on my penis for purely benevolent reasons to benifit others or perhaps a very plausible theory goes, you are acting in your own behalf, but with a phony name and profile, to protect things in your own best interests. Which actually makes the most sense if one thinks about it. Shame on you for playing all the readers for fools."

You really ARE that dense, aren't you? Keep imagining all of that absurd gibberish. My best interests have nothing to do with FCA, dipshit. Phony name? Phony profile? Say what? Are you hitting the Sterno a little early today, shorty? While you're at it, don't forget to blame black helicopters, the Trilateral Commission, sunspots, the hurricane, and global warming for your spectacular short-man complex and for the spectacular demise that your shop is undergoing. Now, who is playing people here for fools, Mr. I Want To Influence My Local FCA Chapter In Order To Pump My Own Failing Business Incessantly? LOL.

"A reader just PM'd me asking if you are known in certian local cirles as "The Lush" or "Steriod Boy" or that local guy known as MicroMember???"

LOL! Not sure what nicknames I have, nor do I care. By the way, its 'certain', dipshit.

"How's your vacation in Cali going btw? Raining over there or did you suspend your vacation to avail yourself of plenty of internet time?"

Carmel is very nice. Very warm the last few days, surprisingly. as with most of your posts, your 2nd sentence makes no sense.

Jason, you are far from being alone. Now that I have pulled back the carpet quite a few are coming forward to expose the dirty little secrets that have been swept under the rug for so long.

But hang in there, there are those that are real entusiasts and don't need to boost their own ego's by looking and talking down to others. Real enthusiasts understand putrid arrogance has no place in decent society and especially not in places where it's supposed to be about fun.

Peter, for what it's worth, I've experienced the "self centered power hungry posers... exclusionary type of leadership."

I believe it has more to do with the "elite" members than the leadership.

I've never really had a problem with any of the leadership, rather, specific members who won't bring up a problem with me personally. Instead they tell Grady or Rob, and they come to me with it.

Well, that's it.

>>So, whatcha got?<<

Blingy, READ MY LIPS....you're a vile discusting cockroach, if you and anyone like you approve of the present leadership everything else is self explanatory. It's obvious you have a bone to pick by your vile disgusting language (oh sure ya toned it down now, too late, you exposed yourselve and the real you lurking behind your phony smile) do you know me? Have you been thrown out of my shop ? I do escort vile disgusting guys like yourself to the door. Or maybe you own an exotic repair shop and just see a chance to gain a customer or two by your disgusting flames? OR maybe you're REALLY one of the Present Leadership Holders???? Now that has possibilities !!! Create Phony Name & Profile, Post Profanity from behind anonymity??? Anyway, moving along .

Several people have expressed interest in putting their names forward as candidates to be included on the upcoming ballots.

These guys are TRUE "Enthusiasts" and far from being self centered power hungry posers and I think the new blood and shift away from the exclusionary type of leadership now in place to an Entusiast Based and Inclusive type leadership would transform the Club into a much nicer, friendlier and active place.

Besides being my Profession & Carreer, Cars are my Hobby and like most of you I just want to have a club that is more fun "for everyone" .

All those wishing to join in making the Local Chapter more fun & inclusive but don't wish to do so publicaly because of the nasty fighting and flaming that occurs feel free to em me privately to voice your support and join our movement to bring the fun meter back into the green and the enthusiats back into the process and hopefully leadership positions so that we may chart a nicer, happier course for the future..

See, now, that's a reasonably fair post, JRV.

However, all of us still reading this thread would still like for your to offer even an ounce of substantiation of the following statements: "self centered power hungry posers...exclusionary type of leadership"

It is easy to complain and accuse others of this, but it is incumbent on you as the accuser to back this sort of incendiary flaming with facts. So far, all you have done is flame, and so you have been flamed back. Somehow, you don't see that, sadly. But if you would just offer something, anything, to back up these accusations, it would help. Because as is, it just seems like sour grapes. All the Houston folks I have communicated with seem VERY happy with current leadership.

So, whatcha got?

FYI re: rally. My mistake. The event with the Porsche Club was early this year. Although there were other cars, including the Lamborghini, this was a Houston Chapter sponsored event only.

Mike: you asked if I was at the rally last weekend.

No, I had another commitment. However, I have received rally pictures from Grady and Luigi Ballitori (Lambo Club). I will organize, thumbnail, and post by Friday. Look on http://www.fca-houston.org/Events.htm

This was a joint event with Houston Chapter of FCA, Lone Star Region Porsche Club, and Lamborghini CLub of Texas.

Here's a teaser.

JRV, from what I can tell, I see no problems with any of them. They all seem to have created their chapters from whole cloth, and devote huge numbers of hours of personal time to the club. That is their job. and i see no evidence showing where you have, in ANY way, helped any of them. I invite you to prove me wrong.

And, despite repeated pleas from a number of people, you have as yet still not substantiated ANY of your whining. The "flaming" you describe is in DIRECT reaction to the fact that all you have done on all of these threads is complain.

You are too chicken to contact Al, you are too chicken to articulate the basis for any of your whining, and you are too chicken to address any real issues instead of lamely playing the "woe is me, everyone is flaming me for questioning authority" victim.

Once again, either prove me wrong and substantiate your concerns about "open dialogue and responsive leadership", and illustrate where either are lacking with any chapter in this region, and or with the region itself, or STFU.

It is that simple. Either grow a set or be left to tilt at imaginary windmills.

Do you get it now? Are you really this dense??

Unfortunately "the action" starts out like this...bring issues out into the open, get flamed for doing so....just the birthing pains to open dialouge and responsive leadership...something never before thought about or of enough concern to bring up. The saying goes, To make an omlet you have to break a few eggs...!!

Who better to become outraged at questioning authority than the authoritarians being questioned??? All pretty basic stuff and I really see no mystery or surprise in any of this.

Question for the vile foul mouthed blingmiester....are you saying that the present leadership are all your kinda people and recieve your full support????

not:

It doesn't look to me like Alan is interested in public attacks.

Where the hell did public attacks come from? I meant that it did not appear that Alan was interested in the position to which you nominated him.

When my membership card comes, I'm going to transfer my membership to Louisiana!

"Let the good times roll!"

When I repaint the handprints off my Art Car, I'm going to tell 'em to paint it "invisible".

You guys need to reread FAQ "How should a Ferrari Owner Act". I've got it here somewhere. Hat's off to all that USE their car. I don't know of any the "Old Man" made with the orders "hide this one in the garage".

Sorry I missed so much of this thread today. I was at work at the hospital, where one trip down the hall will make you thank God for blue sky and the legs you stand on as you walk out the door. Something to think about.

I second Rob.

Action speaks louder than words. If we want to change something, we need take initiative & put time & labor to accomplish, not just words. In other words, if I want to change how memberships are handled, I will put my time & labor to do so. And if you are still not satisfied, you can quit being the member, and create better organization by own. If your action moves others, people will come.

In fact Maranelloman has asked a half dozen times (at least)that you try to substantiate any of your nasty complaints and actually have the guts to do something to effect real change instead of just whining and squealing like a girl...what's your agenda for refusing to do as asked JRV?

By the way, it's "Marque", and not "Margue", retard. And, in your "order" of the Ferrari "food chain", that would place you at rock bottom, you cowardly psychotic dipshit.Cavallino means nothing.

JR, I'm still confused. Say that we elect Alan as President of the local chapter. What changes will that cause? Will this automatically trigger more events? Will we all be happier campers?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking Allan. I'm sure that he is a great guy, after all he owns a Ferrari, yes?

But I still don't understand your passion for replacing Grady. You keep mentioning deep dark conspiracies, of which I have no knowledge. Okay, I'll grant you that there must be some history here, and not all of it is good. But what good will it do to replace the current Officers? I don't really know any of these guys. But, if I had to guess, I'm sure that most of them have better things to do with what little spare time they have than FCA chores.

What I'm looking for is your thoughts on how to improve things, as opposed to dealing with who doesn't like who.

For example, I got a confirmation that FNA is considering doing a tour in Texas next year, similar to the one they just did in California. While I realize that FNA and FCA are two different players, it certainly can't hurt for the Texas chapters of FCA to lobby FNA for a tour.

Any rate, I'm outta here for a week. Gotta drive my daughter to college in New Hampshire. So you guys behave!

thx

JR, it's "libel" and not "liable", genius. Interesting Freudian slip on your part though.

As Rob has posted, FC is NOT the vehicle to conduct FCA elections. Your "nomination" of Alan here means nothing. Either have the courage to formally nominate Alan to Al or Grady directly, or STFU.

I promised to look into how memberships are updated and what the region plan is for elections. I'll be happy to answer any focused question related to these, but other "discussions" have zero priority. Take that however you want.

1. Various elections for the new South Central Region Chapters (Houston, Dallas, Hill Country) were held in late 2001/early 2002 (I was at the Houston election meeting) and FCA rules require elections at a minimum of every two years. Al de Lauro has asked his chapter presidents to get this going with a target of the next few months. You can ONLY vote in the Chapter you belong to, i.e. I cannot vote in Dallas or Hill Country elections. Every Chapter official member, per National list, will get a ballot. The ballots are returned to National, not to the Region for counting. If you want to run for an office, let Al or the Chapter president know.

2. National provides a quarterly list to Chapter presidents of the members that have joined in the last 3 months. Therefore, Grady, Rob, Dave, etc may not get your name for some time. So, if you join FCA, let your respective Chapter president know, so your name can be added to the list immediately. I may not keep every page on the Houston Chapter up to date every day of every year, but the Events page will always have our planned events and info up to date.

We should have most of the rally pictures from last weekend up by this weekend.
