Lakeside in Austin is a very nice community on the lake with a golf course. The morning I played there were deer grazing nearby. |

my folks are considering the SA/Austin area to retire (father is already retired flight surgeon so he likes having randolph AFB nearby). since i'm close, i'm going to scope some places out this weekend in SA in the 281/1604 area.
so far i've dug up Canyon Springs, Evans Ranch (although i don't think Evans ranch has a course) and Sonterra.
I lived in SA a while back but that north central area has changed/developed so much i have no clue what is out there these days. i've poked around the internet a bit but it's hard to tell how "nice" places are from a couple pics. any other recommendations on where i should look? they would prefer to be in a golf course community but that is not an absolute. TIA. |
