Chris,

The true Hp ratings in the Super Snake Eleanor are:

Excluding a 125 Shot of Nitrous, HP at the flywheel is 725 HP.

There are 75 Super Snake's to be built, and you can custom order your serial number as long as it is not already taken (CSESS 001-075). 1-12 have already been ordered, 19, 23, 25, 45, 46, and 57 have also been ordered.

By the way Chris, let me know when would be a good time to go over and see the other car.

Chris, what are the knobs behind the passenger seat near the rear window? I postulated that they were boost adjustments?

Sorry we didn't get to meet.

Wow!

I have been out of town since the Shelby car show. Can't believe how many great pics of the F40.

Thanks for the pics everybody.

Great time and great show.

Gotta check out the specs on the 725hp Eleanor. Anybody have the real numbers.????

Nitros only in order to achieve the 725???

Thanks again,
CYB

Greg, I posted some more information on this PF Coupe in the Vintage Section. Would you (and the others) mind continuing the discussion over there?

It is in 'Blinged out 250 PF Coupe'

Thanks!

His was blinged out from the factory. One of two with the other one being the "Prince's Car" that maybe started the Wayne/Matt thing. It was fully restored and had many things different than the standard PF. The red lights on the dash, the cav on the hood, the ferrari script on the hood, heat sheilds on the exhaust pipe, dual lights in engine bay, lights on c-pillar instead of fendor. Little stuff but added up to an interesting car. His car was shell grey and mine is smoke grey. Its no Elanore but the 250 was more fun for me to look at.

No, Steve somebody from Florida owned that one. Nice guy. Keeping it here as it was in a show in CA and going to another one soon and trying to avoid trucking back and forth from FLA he said.

It really was a great thing
i don't think they had any idea how successful the thing was going to be.

Did anyone see any coverage on the event other than Terry Box pre show article in the DMN? for all that I didn't see anyone covering it for local.

They are buying up all sorts of used shells of 67 Mustangs and stripping them down to about nothing and starting fresh. I've got some pics from the "factory" on imagestation...

That was me and no I am not compensating for anything having such a big lense......

I will have shots to post on here on monday look for them on this thread or on the Texas Driver one.
I got my self contracted to do the pix for the Barrett Jackson Auction Cat of the Shelby Phantom Cobra for its owner. I shot Carroll autographing the dash.

Did you notice the Shelby Mustang Convertable? Gards blue with stripes and dark blue top. That is one of only 4 built and belongs to Carroll's daughter who still lives here. One of my friends did the rebuild on the car he was the guy next to the Autograph table in the YELLOW Corona race Mustang. He did a damn good job on it Carroll Loved it.
That ol Ferrari was just beautiful and if i know the car It may have been sold here back in day by Hall-Shelby Autosales.....
THe 40 is ohmygod beautiful
the Merc were something else I would love to hear where they find those colors
Gary from LamboDallas says the first G car is on the way in this week. (also a couple of other things coming but hush hush) I will let you know when

BTW, got pulled over on 35 going home last night by an unmarked car. He clocked me at 80 but he let me go after I passed the insurance/license, and alcohol questions. He said he did not have his ticket book with him. I was pretty much just going with traffic flow. Five minutes later on 75 I almost got sideswiped by an Excursion making a lane change without signaling.

Intersting how the cop can see me fine in the middle of traffic but the Excursion didn't even know I was next to him.

The main reason we moved the cars out of the sun, was because of sun/heat damage, and the amount of folks walking between the cars and the occasional bump against the cars, purses, strollers ..etc that were being moved in between the cars. I think the line up of exotics against the wall looked much better than stuffed in parking spots. The spectators were able to really look at the cars , take great photos with the cars, and get some great profile shots that you just cant get in a stuffed parking spot

The 250 PF was a special build, one of two. At first I thought they had blinged it out during the restoration. Dashboard layout different with red activity lights on the dash, the cavallino was on the hood instead of the grill, and a Ferrari badge on the trunk. Anybody get pictures of it?

I watched them move the 512 and the Diablo out of the sun. It seemed a little ridiculous to me.

Jim M, were you the one w/ the digital camera w/ the long lens? If so, we spoke near the F40, I was with the Ferrari guys with my kids.

Total car count was 173 cars. There were four Panteras. The old Ferrari was a '58 250 (I voted it best of show--it won Best of Class). Base Eleanor starts at $80K and goes to $160K (with the $160K having Total-Control suspension). There were two Shelby Series 1's in the show.

Too bad most of the Ferrari guys felt necessary to pull out from their car slots to go park in the shade, all in a line near the curb (only people in the entire to show to do this).

First of all, thanks to all of you who attended. It was a MUCH larger turnout than I think anyone expected by far. I heard the count of cars was over 150. Many beatiful Shelby's, Eleanor's, muscle cars, and of course the Ferrari's. Who could miss Chris' F40, damn that car is just breathtaking!

Matt, they will produce 475 Eleanor's. 400 of the Base/Performance cars and 75 Super Snakes. Base car starts at $80K. Performance car starts at $120K. And the Super Snake starts at $150K. A fully decked Super Snake with all the options is just under $175K.

JimE, sorry I missed you.

F-chat attendance was:

Chris F-40
Ron 308
Greg Shelby
Jonathan 360
Jano 348
Jim Muise camera in hand
Jim Schad
Ken Thomas
Sorry if I missed anybody.

Thank you again for all of you that came.

just got back from the show. man o' man did yall miss out. first off no suprise tons of mustangs, and quite a few cobras, and corvettes. the shop was really nice and had a nice layout. the eleanor is beautiful!! the shop showed many eleanor's in the process to final assembaly. there were 3 or 4 series 1, which i had never seen in person before very nice. then at the end of the building were the ferrari's and lambo's. lamb of dallas was there with a orange murchilago, and a yellow 6.0 vt. for ferrari's there was blue 348 spy, red 512, red f40, red 550, black 308 and another old ferrari but i didnt get a good look at it, there were quite a few panteras. i spent most of my time around the f-40 my all time fav.. Chris that is a beautiful car. thanks for starting it up for a few minutes. Jonathan i was just getting there when you were leaving. but saw the 360 drive away.

Jonathan how many eleanors are they making what is the price? I saw the first one get sold at Barrett Jackson last year I think it went for $180k?

This car show was huge, much larger than I expected. I'd guess there was close to 100 cars there. Mostly old muscle, but Chris' F40, a 512M, a perfect silver 250PF Coupe, Jano's 348, and Ron and Stephs 308. Also a Murci and a Diablo.

This is the only pic I got before my battery died:

You can pre-register or register when you arrive, it does not matter.

I encourage you all to come and bring what you can, I am working to have some specific parking for all the Ferrari's /F-chat gang.

Jim E, come early if you like, there will be lots to do from what I understand. The facility tour alone is probably worth coming out.

Jim Schad and I will be there early in the AM.

Rob, you and Jennie have my condolences. Look at it this way, you get to travel through the glorious Sooner Nation!

Sean, I don't think preregistering is going to really be necessary. Just come on out.

I was by there the other day, they had a Shelby Series 1 out front too. For those that haven't seen this car, it's interesting. Has an Oldsmobile Aurora motor. There is a turbo-charged option, which is apparently the only way to go. I saw Dennis Quaid spin out in one last year on the infield at TMS. Hefty round of applause for that one.

Do we need to pre-register or can we just show up? My brother finished up my tranny swap in the Mustang yesterday, so if I get that cleaned up tomorrow night when I get back in town, then I'll plan on taking that. Maybe I can convince my fiancee to bring the Lotus, too, although car shows don't really excite her.

And this car show is open to ALL performance automobiles, so don't hesitate to bring whatever performance car you've got--it doens't have to a Mustang, or even Ford powered.

And I really expect Carroll Shelby to show for this one. This is a big deal.

Yeah I know Caroll is getting old so that is one reason I would love to see him in person. My dad loved cobras and was in the process of buying one when he died. Would be kind of neat to meet the guy who created so much passion. Just saw a show last night on Discovery Channel about him and his cars.

The show will include a full tour of the facility and they will have several of the finished cars on display.

Carroll is supposed to be at the event, but Steve is always skeptical due to Carroll's health as to whether or not he will actually be able to attend.

See you there Jim,

Jp

I'll show up, but with no F car of course.

Question? Do we get to see any of the GT500 remakes? Will Caroll Shelby be there? Would love to meet him.

I got a flyer while at the Shelby show a few weeks back. I'm hoping to take my Mustang, but if the new tranny's not in yet, I'll be there in the Lotus. I know my brother and maybe a few friends will be out there as well.

With permission from Rob, I would like to invite all F-Chat members and their cars to a special car show on Saturday October 18th.

The car show is tied in with the Grand Opening of the Shelby GT500E Continuation Facility that is currently building recreations of the "Eleanor" movie car from "Gone in 60 Seconds". Steve Sanderson is a good friend of mine and is heading up sales of the Eleanor replica's and asked me to help make it a big turnout for the car show.

The show will be held at:

Unique Motorcars/Sanderson Sales & Marketing
Shelby GT500E Continuation Facility
13950 Senlac Drive
Farmers Branch, TX 75234

Please contact me at 214-289-8915 or [email protected] for more information.

Registration is $25 and starts at 8AM-10AM. The show is from 10-3. The awards are given out at 3PM followed by a cruise to Chuch's hamburgers in Frisco at 4PM, naturally with Eleanor leading the pack.

I would love to see a LARGE turnout of Ferrari's for this event.

Look forward to seeing all of you there.

Jonathan Peck
