Good Morning

I was suprised to read this post below.
The F Chat Tx section was where I read
the information for the "first" time on
Dan's Countach ride. I did not know that
Vern copied it from Dan's post in the
"Other Italian" section. I saw that post
after I originally posted.

DAN: Thank You for spamming your ride all
over the chat rooms. LOL. THANK YOU FOR
BUSTING YOUR *SS cleaning, polishing, waxing,
and whatever else until around 3:30AM. This was
all done "(AFTER)" you DROVE 12 hours from K.C. !!!!

Y'all take care.

I saw Dan's story.

And who is it then? You raised the subject. Please resolve it.

Wait a minute:

I just checked the "other Italian" section and
noticed that this is the same story that Dan
posted word for word. So you all have to come
to your own conclusions. I am going to say
"Hard to port."

You misspelled it (like you do so many other words), spanky: its "Santa" and not "Satan". Same letters, slightly different order.

And, yes, many of us who believe in good winning out over evil (as we are doing with you) believe in Santa.

Have a nice life. You are now Ignored.

I find it very interesting that Napoleon Vallandingham, now calling himself Vern, mercilessly removes any post (including several from Ric Rainbolt, of all people) that doesn't kiss his a$$, much less asks a question or present even a mildly dissenting view from his "it's all about me" views, and then attacks Rob and threatens him with legal action for even posting on his site (a Small Penis Syndrome move if there ever was one), and yet Rob allows the little vermin to post here freely.

Speaks volumes as to who has character, and who hasn't got jack.

You will reap what you sow, little johnny.

TEXAS RUNNING OF THE BULLS

This story is about my experience with Fellow forum members especially Ralph Kolsin who graciously invited me down for a ride in his car at TEXAS RUNNING OF THE BULLS.

The Lamborghini Countach barrels down the freeway hard, loud, and fast. Followed close by is a firebird Cop car with the cherries screaming for the countach to pull over. The Countachs engine sound is amazing as it plays with the cop car, then suddenly its gone faster than you think is possible. Thats one of the first memories I can recall, watching the beginning of the car movie classic Cannon Ball Run (I was six years of age). Thats the movie that changed me. What it did was start a dream inside me, a dream to someday drive a Countach. (and perhaps mabey to own one) Intill that dream was realized I wanted to know every stat, figure, everything about the Countach. Then later every Lamborghini. And then a little later I had to know about every Ferrari. I love (and I dont use that word loosely) LOVE exotic cars.

Will I mentioned that I wanted to know everything about Lamborghinis and Ferraris will the best place to do that is the Internet. Especially forums. I met Ralph on F-chat and Lambo-talk about 6 months ago we have been friends ever since. After learning of my love of Lamborghinis Ralph invited me down to Texas for the Texas Running of the Bulls. Needless to say I was excited! And graciously accepted his invitation.

After what seemed like forever it was finally time to go to Houston for the TROTB. The 12-hour drive down there was nothing for my girlfriend and I if I was able to even ride in a Countach.

Once there I meet up with Ralph that night. It was then that I saw his beautiful 88 white Countach with wing. The way it looked just standing there was amazing. No one who ever saw a Countach would ever question why they sold more posters of the Countach car than any other car.

At the next days event I was hopeing for just a ride in a Lamborghini. It would have met everything to me. There were plenty of Lamborghinis there everything from a Miura to a Murcielago. But as the day progressed it seemed like it wasnt going to happen. Ralph hadnt arrived yet. It was getting a little late and JR the event coordinator saw my disappointment. So he persuaded a man from Lamborghini Dallas to give me a ride in a Murcielago. The Murci was so silky smooth and comfortable that I didnt even realize how fast he was going. I looked at the speedometer we were flying at 120 mph. It was increadible!

Just as I felt like I had accomplished what I had set out to do along comes Ralph in his stunning 88 Countach. He had gotten lost but now he was here and I was ready! Ralph kindly asked me to get in to the hand stitched leather passenger seat. We were going for a ride. Ralph slowly went up the drive passing all the other Lamborghinis everyone was starring listening to the engine idle loudly. At the top of the drive he took a left and cruised down the country road. Passing normal cars with starring passengers including a carload of girls screaming (half falling out of the car) their approval.

After we arrived at the end of the road Ralph slowly turned around looked up at me and smiled. He then slammed on the gas all 12 cylinders woke up and pushed with every horse they had. There I was plastered to the seat gasping for breath as we approached the first corner. At what was an incredible velocity Ralph took the first corner with ease. Then the second corner he took to the outside lane passing a much slower SUV. (Which I am sure the driver pissed his pants) It was unforgetable. Ralph than looked at me and said, I am going to pull over so you can drive her HOLY I AM GOING TO DRIVE A COUNTACH!!! I have read books, watched videos, and surfed the Internet for 100s of hours trying to get an idea of what it was like to drive a Countach and now I will get to find out first hand!

I took off my shoes because anyone with normal feet could not operate the pedals correctly. (Way to close together) Climbed in the drivers seat, closed the butterfly wing door, and started the beast. The 12 cylinder 4 valve Countach roared to life in a way no other car can. I was going to drive an automotive legend. They wont make anything like it again. Its one of the most individualistic cars ever made.

I slowly let out the clutch and eased into the gas it was incredible. The sound, the power, and the feel of it was like nothing I had ever driven. All the magazines that said this was the hardest car they had ever tested were (pardon my French) pussies. This car didnt take anything to drive. The cars controls were firm but never hard to oporate. I liked the weight the controls had. It made the car feel solid.

Just knowing what went into making such a machine makes you realize the car was art. And the fact that it lived up to all my expectations made the Countach even more unforgetable.

The Countach has so much character compared to anything I have ever driven. It was an experience more than it was a drive. An experience that I will never forget! My dream was finally realized.

I want to thank Ralph, Luigi, Taek, JR, Jason, Lamborghini Dallas, and everyone else for such a fun trip!

Posting pictures soon!

Hey Alan, remember when I said that I hope you actually get 10 cars for the track portion of the Running of the BS Artists? Looks like I was right after all.

Here's what I hear from a friend who was there on Saturday:

"In fact the reason the track event was cancelled late in the afternoon was because ONLY 1 CAR SIGNED UP!!! It had NOTHING to do with weather as indicated on Ferrari Chat. A lot of people cancelled after JRV showed his true colors to everyone on Ferrari Chat. The Lamborghini Dealer was pissed about the whole event and how it turned out."

Please tell the little cucaracha "hello" for me, Alan. Also, remind him that the self-employed do NOT qualify for unemployment here in Texas.

Regards,

Pete

Thanks Rob,

My pastor says God can do more with a motivated sinner than he can with a lackadaisical saint!!

"Comforting the disturbed, disturbing the comfortable."

Kenny was just a real nice guy with AJ Foyt, and even after the Indy 500 victory and Rahal was very personable.

I really don't want my signed cap & shirt to become more valuable THAT way.

I saw that update too. Thanks for sharing it.

I was at the race and had no idea what was going on until several hours later. The replay was hard to watch, luckily no one was in the stands.

Looks like Alan's prayers helped him...

Kenny Brack, seriously injured in an accident during the closing laps of yesterday's Chevy 500 at Texas
Motor Speedway, underwent successful surgery on his right femur and both ankles Sunday night at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, said Dr. Henry Bock, director of medical services for the Indy Racing League. Dr. Brian Estridge, a trauma surgeon, and Dr. Charles Reinert, an orthopedic surgeon, performed the surgery.

Brack remains in serious, but stable condition and is awake and alert, Bock said.

Brack suffered a fractured right femur, a fractured sternum and lumbar, and fractures to both ankles after colliding with Tomas Scheckter, who was not injured.

Nice cars, all.

A "little birdie" just told me that the REAL reason the track event was cancelled, on the evening before, was that, after Little Johnny succeeded in pi$$ing off nearly everyone he has ever encountered, enough people cancelled their track registration such the there was only ONE PERSON signed up.

And apparently the Dallas Lambo dealer was really, REALLY upset at this, as they had paid out mucho dinero for the track deposit, instructor costs (it appears that Little Johnny's third string of instructors actually had the gall to ask to be PAID; normally, track event instructors such as myself are not paid, but rather get free track time & lunch), food costs, etc.

One more nail in the rapidly closing Pinnacle Motorsports [oxymoron] coffin...

Well, that's possible! How do you tell one Porsche from another? 911s I mean!

There were many that came and went during he day.
The lure of the back roads was just too strong for some! Notably the NSXs were a spirited group, and left mid day with a few P cars giving chase!

The Lambo of Dallas demo car came back reporting a radar gun on 529 east of the farm, and as the Ferrari bikini girls and I left towards Bellville to the west our lead car (thankfully a VW sedan)
braked hard over a rise to flag a SECOND trap to the west!

I guess that marks a successful party, when the neighbors come by to tell you "Quiet Down!" LOL

There was a County Fair that night in Belleville with lots of pedestrians crossing FM 529, so I don't blame those guys. Everybody was very gracious that I spoke with, DPS, Sheriff, Weimar PD, etc.

Actually, coming back Sunday to help clean up,
the first thing I saw coming out of Chappell Hill was a DPS cruiser on FM 1371. I was still in first warming the engine, so I just waved REAL BIG as we passed each other.

Texas used to be the "Drive Friendly" State, ya' know!

Thanks also to Luigi and his family for dropping by!
Luigi, I think your youngest daughter liked MY art car the best! I saw her adding some handprints!

And to Dale Spradling for driving out. Sorry you missed the BBQ! I'll suggest ya'll stop by Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Huntsville on Luigi's next run. I'll buy.

Thanks to Jason for sharing pics. I just got my son's shots on CD and will try to post later.

I counted 13 Lambos, six Ferraris, two Maseratis, one Lotus, one Pantera, Six or seven Porsches, Four NSXs, One Corvette Z06.

Mr. Ed Perwien won the Royal Purple Preservation Award for his 1973 Espada.

The winner of the most Goodyear antenna balls was the Austin County Sherriff, running on Goodyear Eagle tires! (Don't ask how I found out!!!!!)
Having a lot of antennas, he took three.

Accommodations provided to the World's Fastest Art Car Ferrari by the historic Browning Plantation, Chappell Hill Texas.

Ferrari Bikini Girl Contest at poolside was won by Ms. Valeria Larison, in a fetching orange/red Tropical Print two piece with sheer red wrap around. We are lovin' you, baby!

Thanks also to Markus Lex, www.PlayersRun.com, and his lovely lady for dropping in from Colorado.
He said he enjoyed the lovely back roads around the farm, even those he wasn't looking for!

Pray for former AJ Foyt driver Kenny Brack.
A nice guy, who needs your prayers. Get Well, Kenny.

That Schumacher, I need some of his luck!
Proof it's better to be good, and lucky, than just good. Forza Ferrari!

I've never seen Open Track days canceled because of rain. I've run SCCA, NASA, Drivers Edge, COMMA, PCA, and Ferrari events in heavy rain before. Real drivers and organizations run in any weather. I even ran in sleet/snow at MSR last winter. Sounds interesting.

Sadly, I just heard that the track event was cancelled due to "rain"...even though the Nat'l Weather Service says it is fair & 75, with no rain anywhere close on radar, right now in College Station. Sounds kind of fishy to me...but it's too bad for the folks looking to get their beautiful cars on track.

Oh, well.

Beautiful, is that first one a Miura? I appologize, I'm not up on my Lamborghinis, but I know I like them.

How many Lambos were on hand? 20?

6:30 and just got home.

Blue Bonnet was a great place to meet up. Beautiful Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches, Maseratis and NSXs.

Will post pics as soon as I get them all edited and uploaded, so probably not until tomorrow night.

Good work JR, Jeremy, Alan, and all those who helped to plan!

Also, nice to meet Taek, Jeremy, Dan, and everbody else. :-)

Well, me personally, as soon as I regain consciousness after the Jesse Dayton show at the Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival. I'll be counting on the Browning Plantation from some hot coffee and a country breakfast, then the track opens I think around 7:30AM. Driver's meeting 9:30. Check the "Official Schedule". I'll be working to get the promos up and get the place looking good, just in case Akron sends the Blimp by to check up on us! (Not fact, just rumor!)

Convoy from Houston is starting to take shape.
Signed on a twin turbo P-car this AM from the hospital.

Love to all,

Speedy

Okay, no bikini girl for you.

Thanks Rob.

It's not a hotel but a B&B. With a pool. And slave quarters.
