Just added two more...

Donato and Laura Forte - most everyone doesn't know them. He races SRX7 with Greg, Ron, and I. Tillman and Jayson have been to his house before. He's a huge Ferrari enthusiast. Nice "rare" model collection of Ferraris and nice prints at his house. He's even part Italian, but 100% Scottish.

Price isn't an issue, this will cost less than most of my nights out!

I was just thinking. Is there anyone that opted out because of the price?

To me it seems reasonable because every week or so Jennie and I will go out to eat. Main courses usually run $17-25, appetizer $5-8, and desert $3-5. So $38 all inclusive with the above, tax, and tip doesn't seem that bad.

From the regulars, people that have other commitments or out of town are Ron/Steph, Jerry/Susan, Tillman, Brian, Don Payne, Glasers, and Yoshi.

Those are at least those who sent regrets.

I'm not looking forward to calling them, our room had a 15 person minimum. I was more worried about turning people away at 30, not reaching the 15 person minimum. Does anyone have friends they would like to invite for a great meal? You don't have to be a FCA member or even a Ferrari person at this point. Possibility the club fund (not me!) will get stuck with the extra plates.

The Glasers had to cancel. So unless some others sign up over the next 60-90 minutes, I'm going to call them and just get a regular table instead of the reserved room. I'm really looking forward to some great food, wine, and company.

We still have plenty of spots open with several out of town or busy. I'll take late RSVP's and send another notice out to the FCA.

Rodney and Marci, feel free to invite the MAFFIA club if you wish.

Thanks,
rob

Thanks TIllman, I have a doctor who was referred by another member of my team, Dr. Greenberg who has offices in Grapevine & Valley Ranch.

I wish I could make it at Ferrari's. It will be fun & educational experience for me.

Not to hijack, but...

Hey Yoshi Ace, buzz me if you want the name of a good surgeon in Irving. Believe me, I feel your pain about parking the car...

As for the dinner, I can't make it due to previous commitments. Sorry

Sounds like fun! I, too have a commitment for my kids, and cannot go that night. Well, I cannot drive my car for now, probably next 2 months or so. I ruptured Achilles playing softball, and will have a surgery soon.
Hope everyone will have a great fun (I know food is going to be good already!)

@Jim,
you might be right I don`t know exactly. It was in Arlington very close to the Fair Park with the rollercaster. HEIDELBERG is just 2 miles south of me and very close - awesome great place. Call me, when you are next time in Germany!

@Rob,
yep, I have had a realy great time in Texas. Sold my whole booth to one person on the first day of the show and so I enjoyed Dallas/Arlington/Forth Worth very much. And yes, I found those places for relaxation after a hard day;-) Damn f*** the hell, we don`t have this in Germany....amazing!!!

Hope to CU next time in March

Fantasy Farm! I think you mean Fantasy Ranch, but same idea.

My Aunt just moved back to germany to Hiedelberg. Lived in Wurzberg before that. Her husband is a officer in the Army. I've been to Frankfurt for a few days. Love that area called Sachsenhausen I think.

Sorry gents to hijack your thread but....

Howdy Rob,

well back from Dallas/Arlington since yesterday evening. Sadly not to meet you and the other guys but maybe next time in March?
As usual I enjoyed my Dallas trip very much and I know the reason why you are so happy in Texas. Always very sunny and warm ( 30 Grad and in Germany its now only 5 Grad). AND we don`t have here such great places like: SILVER CITY or FANTASY FARMUpload ...you lucky guys!
I have also had the pleasure to see Alan Haynes playing in Lumpys, Forth Worth on Saturday evening. He is an awesome guitar-slinger from Austin. Do you know him?

By popular demand the next FCA DFW fine dining event will be held at Ferraris Italian Restaurant Saturday, November 1st at 7pm.

Food will be served family style from a pre-selected menu (most popular selection).

Starter
Antipasto
Fried Calamari
Grilled Eggplant or Roasted Red Bell Peppers
Portabello Mushrooms Mozzarella Caprese
Served with Focaccia Bread

Entree - Family Style
Scampi Parmigiana
Sauteed in white wine and topped in marinara sauce
and Mozzarella and Parmesan
Pollo Valdostana
Breast of chicken topped with ham, mozzarella
and mushroom cream sauce
Veal Limone
Scallopini veal with white wine, lemon and capers
Rigatoni or Penne Basilico
Pasta with fresh basilico and marinara sauce - very light and healthy

Dessert
Italian Surprise
Layered sponge cake soaked in espresso and Italian liqueur,
then three layers of pistachio, vanilla and chocolate ice cream
encased with sponge cake dribbled in espresso, topped with
white meringue and served with hot chocolate sauce.

We'll be seated in the Roman room and there are limited places, so please RSVP your count. You may order off the menu, but that would be in addition to the required plate fee. The costs per person will be...

All above courses: $30
Tax: $2.48
Gratuity: $5.87
---
Total: $38.35 all inclusive.

There will be a cash bar for drinks. The food is all on my card, so each must pay me $38.35 directly. I was out $250+ dollars from one FCA event and that will not happen again.

Location...

Upload

Remember, you must RSVP to me by Tuesday, October 28th.

See everyone there! All invited, FCA membership or not.

Thanks,
rob lay
