Thanks Randy, that weekend was great. I was in the Z06 Vette behind the Ferrari when spun off the course it hit the sand. That was the second time the 360 spun in turn 7, but it was driven by someone else. Must be nice to loan your Ferrari out then get it full of sand. Anyway, Very fun weekend, looking forward to the next one.

Ric - looks like you had a lot of fun out there. Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet up. Too funny on the piece! Ha! My next guess would be that you are from Dallas!

Ric, you'll have to hang out with the local DFW board members. We've never had a bad time.

That 348 owner was me. No, I'm from Dallas. :-)

The person that spun the 360 was actually one of the most skilled instructors there. Right before he drove, he and Jon had changed the tire pressures as an expermiment (an unsuccessful one, I'd say!).

FWIW, the "handpiece" is a Tarus PT89 9mm.

This past weekend was the JEH (John Eagle Honda) of Houston's weekend at TWS. Just your average DE, with Driver's Edge instructors and all. The event went very well, with only a few minor incidents, none of which were related to me nor my car.

I twisted Will Huber's arm several times and he drove up on Saturday and Sunday. I loaned him one of my helmets and told him to go find an instructor to ride along with. He came back with the biggest smile! I just hope to see him out there driving sometime this year.

I'm definately getting faster, that's for sure! And after swearing at my big brake kit for three frustrating days, it was working very very well. However, pads... gotta have lots of those. They don't last long at all.

There were only two Ferrari's up there this past weekend, one was a yellow 360 from the Dallas area. He was only running Yoko AVS Sports (gawd, I hate those tires), and mentioned 'if I only had my race tires on...' from time to time. He was quite fast, but a few others that he allowed to drive the car weren't as competent - spinning out in the esses.

The other F car was a 348, and after running with him a few times, I never got a chance to come up or have him come up in my mirror on the track.

One last thing - near the end of the event, I asked the 360 owner if he goes over to FerrariChat or even FerrariList. He said, he got away from Ferrari List and only did that for a short period of time. I asked him if he knew Rob Lay up in Dallas, and informed him that Rob organizes events in the area. He didn't seem to care, but I do hope he drops by and visits sometime. The 348 owner (the 360 owner used to own the 348 that the guy brought up there) was busy packing up his car, and as I glanced over, he was packing a handpiece under the hood/trunk. Too funny... And my thought was... Houstonite?
