I drive mine a lot... and I park it a lot of places... but not just anywhere. I wouldn't park it at most malls. Though I would park it in the garage at the Galleria. I wouldn't park it at most grocery stores... shopping carts are lethal. I wouldn't park it at a stadium or in a high school parking lot or at a bar. I also do NOT valet it... ever. And so on.

If I am familiar with the parking and the area isn't too "anonymous"... and the people are more courteous... then I park it happily. I regularly park it all day at my workplaces. I park it at restaurants that I am familiar with. Certain places that I shop regularly. All in all, 80% of the places I go.

HTH.

In almost 2 years I've never had any problems. I drive it about 2 days a week and that will include parking at work, restaurants, and bars.

Yes, something will probably happen, but that's what insurance is for and I want to enjoy the car.

I'm getting an '85 Euro 308 GTSi and am curious about how concerned I should be parking the car after having heard and read comments from F. owners. How concerned should I be parking the car at say, a mall or on the street, or at the pub, etc? I know I'll enjoy driving the car but not being able to park it anywhere except in my driveway takes away a little from the driving experience.
