Thanks fellas for all the info. Dave keeps sending out those great event notices. I'll have to get that 308 and join the club!

Mark's right. I forgot about Moorespeed. I know David & Chris Moore, as well as Lee Kemper. Good, thorough guys.

Al, Moorespeed in Austin did a 30k with waterpump on my 348, and I was very satisfied. Check www.moorespeed.com, they do a lot of Porsche race prep, but have Ferrari experience also.

Excellent, thanks for the info Dave. I sent you an eml (from a referral from Lloyd) to get more info about the HCFCA chapter. I take it the next event will be posted here as well?

Al, try Ben's Workshop here in Austin. His crew mainly does Mercedes-Benz, but also can easily handle Ferraris. They have done 308/328 work, 360 work, and just recently mounted & nbalanced new tires for my 550. Try http://www.bensworkshop.com

I just found out about the list and joined. I am in the market for an '85 Euro GTSi and will look at one next Sat in Dallas. I sure would like to discuss 308 specifics with any 308 owners here in Austin. Also, is there anyone in town you trust to work on your cars or do you have to go to SA, Dallas, or Houston?

Sounds like a great plan. I went down lime creek road a few weeks ago, but got stuck behind a diesel pickup truck. Too bad this road offers few places to pass.

Sounds great Dave! Would you mind if a non-F car owner like myself showed up and joined in the festivities?

Well, folks, I know this is not much notice...but we're really going to make something of our new Hill Country Chapter of the FCA this year! So, to kick it off, we would like to have an informal meet-and-greet lunch (and car show-off, of course!) on the day before St. Patrick's Day, Saturday, March 16. It will be at the Oasis Restaurant, overlooking glorious Lake Travis here in Austin.

We will meet for lunch at 11:30, and each of us will be responsible for our own food & beverage charges. We will have a Ferrari parking area in the lot, and we're working to have someone to watch the cars while we eat inside.

Prior to meeting at 11:30, the folks from outside Austin will obviously have to drive in. Those of us local here will, however, meet at 10:30 at the Oasis parking lot for a spirited drive down Lime Creek Road to FM 1431 & back. We'll have to be careful, because Travis County recently rated Lime Creek Road as a "zero tolerance road" for speeding, due to some huge motorcycle races that have terrorized other motorists there lately. However, the sight of a bunch of Ferraris taking its challenging twisties, I hope, will warm the hearts of all the Deputy Sheriffs running radar along it...

FYI, in case of rain, we will do this the next day, St. Patrick's Day, Sunday, March 17. If both are rained out, we will try for the following Saturday, March 23.

If you are interested, please show up!!
