For Lunch on Sunday we had a total of 10 cars, 308, 328s, 348, TR, Mondials, Daytona, 360, Lotus and those that did not make it with their Ferraris because their windows would not close.

On the Rally we had a Ferrari-Chat co-pilot, Mark (Study)who took all kinds of rides (I am especially jealous of the 360 ride :-) ), and William joined us for Dinner in Surfside.

This is a group shot of the Lunch at Mario's.

We had a wonderful turnout. Old faces, new faces and new boobs, thanks to Trischa, who drives a 360 with nice headlights :-)

We did a historic tour thorugh Miami. Starting at the Key Biscayne Lighthouse with awesome weather. Great views and 12 cars. Later we headed to a private tour at Villa Vizcaya, an italian style villa with millions of dollars worth of art and furnishings. After a long stop for lunch in Coconut Grove we headed to the histroic Biltmore Hotel and another private tour. We were able to go into the towner suite at the 15th floor and enjoy the breathtaking view over Miami and the cars parked in the driveway. Some had to leave early, others joined us late.
After a pit stop at Roberto's Italian Image we headed to dinner in Surfside, where we had a Police Officer watch our cars in a reserved roped off parking area of the metered lot. Thanks to the Town Commission and the Surfside PD.

Here are some pictures.

The day after, Sunday we all met for Lunch again in Pompano Beach with new faces and old ones from the day before. A much better than expected turnout. 30 Ferraristi. Mario prepared an unbelievable lunch for us at his restaurant: "The Big Apple" (Pompanoe, corner of Sample Rioad and Military Trail, Andrews Ave)

Mario and his lovely wife in front of their off-road ferrari!

Sunday I secured us a lunch Buffet at Mario's "The Big Apple" restaurant in pompano. $15/pp for first class food. 1:00pm.

Saturday the rally is shaping up super nice. We have private tours at The Key Biscayne Lighthouse, the Villa Vizcaya and The Biltmore.

Meet us in the evening at:

Cafe Ragazzi on the corner of A1A (south bound, Harding Ave) and 95 Street. Parking is behind the building. The Town of Surfside has set aside 17 parking spaces in a row and I have hired an Off-Duty Police officer from Surfside to guard our horses. Arrival there planned for 6:00pm.

Tom,

No matter how good a story it is, It would be out of line to post it on a public forum.

Some updates:

The Sunday Christmas Lunch will NOT be held at Servizio in Jupiter. Due to the latest turmoil and questionable attendance David C has decided to not host any party this year.

Instead I have organized a lunch buffet at "The Big Apple" in Pompano Beach. Easy to reach for the Palm Beach attendees and easy to reach for the Miami Squids. 1:00pm at 843 West Sample Rd, just west of I95 on the corner of Andrews Ave in the Chrystal Lake Shopping Center. Unfortunately this is not free anymore but at $15.00 per person a great deal. Mario will outshine himself to make us happy and have us return there. Thanks to Hartmut for his effort in making this happen.

The Saturday Rally will still take place. Meeting is sharp at 8:30 in the Key Biscayne Golf Club parking lot. We have 2 confirmed tours and will have another pending as of now. Dinner reservations is confirmed at "Cafe Ragazzi" in Surfside on A1A. The Town has roped off a parking area for us and we have a off-duty Surfside PD cop to secure our stallions. Dinner alacarte, you pay as you go.

These events are non-club events and free for anybody to attend. We will have also a Alfa with us and will gladly allow other cars. Admissions and tour tips as well as lunch and dinner is as you go. You want that lobster tail, you pay for it! :-)

We have 15 cars at the moment.

Martin,
Glad to hear it's not a FOC FL. event anymore, the new symbol of FUN "FOC FL. PFC" (Politically Free Zone).

Paul

Did you get the blessing of El' Presidente before making this decision? :-)

This is NOT an FOC or any other club event. We invite and welcome anybody that wants to join this Rally. This event is sponsored and done by a group of SE Florida Ferrari nutz. The Squideria Calamari.

No Club affiliation anymore!

Richard,
got you on the list. Glad you will be here.

Anybody else here that will attend? Mark (Study) would like to come on the Rally and I need an empty passenger seat for him. I am sure he would take a drivers seat as well :-)

Martin,
We will be in Florida by Dec. 4th. I did not see anything about the Miami rally on the FOC Florida website. Can you give me more info? I understand the Christmas party will be on the 8th at Servizzio's again.

We will have an official Christmas "Jingle your cylinder bells" Rally through Miami on either the 7th or 8th of December. The alternating date will be the official FOC christmas lunch/dinner also at a place to be announced.

Ferrari and non-Ferrari owners/drivers are welcome. No FOC membership necessary but we will make sure you will be one after the event ;-))
