Barton,
the paddock passes were only necessary for the CART paddock last year. The AMLS paddock was open for anybody to just walk in. I would say we take our chances here.

Robin,
William has the hotel room in the INterconti. The race is in Downtown Miami on the streets of downtown on the bay. You truely do not need tickets for the race and yes, William will let you in.

www.miamirace.com is the official website. No need to buy tickets though.

Make it Thursday night. You will not be disappointed.

Right on! Just set up a cheapy hotel right on Miami Beach.. but I've been looking around on all the ALMS sites and can't find anything about exactly where the race is, how to get tickets, etc. Is William H really gonna let everyone pack into his suite? So we don't need tickets or anything??

Who said anything about bringing a girl to Miami??? I was talking about connecting with one of you locals so I know where I'm going... although finding a local girl wouldn't be a bad deal. Could save me a few bucks on the hotel :-)

Owls to Athen is also a saying but I have no clue what that should mean. Never been to Athens.

Sand to the beach can be a good thing. After hurricanes we lose big parts of our beaches. I remember in 98 we lost around 50 feet of our beach in dept.

Hmmm... think I'll have to stop by for this. How do I go about getting a spot in William's room? I have some unused airline tickets I can exchange, so I'll probably fly down from Tampa Saturday morning and fly out Saturday night or sometime Sunday. I need to get in on this since they cancelled the DC race this year. Hook a brother up :-)

Martin, I may also be able to get a 348 right side door. Know anyone who needs one for a dirt cheap price?

I will bring the crashed 550 hood to have it signed by the drivers of the Ferraris.
Should make a cool souvenier.

Nika will be coming from Toronto to join us for the entire weekend.

We will try to make arrangements to also get a tour of the Prodrive facility besides the invite we have from the Olive Garden Team. See the Ferrari's up close and personal.

Track Side is available through William, who has rented a room in the Interconti for 5 days and we can watch from the room the entire track and race. To help offset the cost I propose we will give him $ 25/day/person.
Drinks and food will be arranged. It will be a blast and we stay in the AC while everyone else is sweating. :-)

September 25th at Maranello's restaurant in Kendall.
This is our preliminary date.

Our group will invite the members of the Ferrari Olive Garden Team as well as the owner, Sen. Rafanelli for Dinner at Maranellos. This will be a small payback for the excellent hospitality that this team has shown us last year in Miami. Meet the team, the owner and the drivers at a casual dinner setting.
We will work out a dinner menue for all at a fixed price.
