Great to see everyone at Moroso, the Squids and a few new faces too!

Unbelievable turnout for the PDC event at Moroso despite 9/11, the market downturn and other lame excuses for poor club turn out recently.

We guessed about 60-70 cars total so it's good to see everyone showing up in big numbers.

I havent confirmed yet, but may be going to Sebring this weekend for the SAFE event as a
couple of Squid Brothers will be running there too.

did some nice laps as well.

after adjusting the tire pressure I got great grip and the car was handling perfect. Amanda had some scare moments there.
We hit 140 on the front straight and went heavy into braking in turn 2. Funny how the back comes lose when you brake that hard.

Nice to meet you ken.
Good to see Barton and the rest. Sorry I was this late. Well you know the story.

Had two good laps though and did some great exercise with changing from rain to slicks and back to rains. Thanks for the help Ken!

I don't think Fabian is the problem anymore. Is going due north right now but Henry is a problem.
Those darn french, spoil all the fun!

They keep saying Fabian is going to take a turn towards the north but it sure looks like it's getting close.

We may end up having a sand bagging party at Martin's!

We better hope Fabian takes that northern turn or it could be a washout.

Martin,
Thanks for putting all of this together. I'm looking forward to the myriad of events planned for Saturday...and to meeting (seeing again) all of you!

Let me get back to you on Friday and Sunday, though... Hmmmm, can't miss out on that sushi!

I'll be bringing out an extra helmet with me for Amanda so that she can ride along with a few people as well... she's excited! :-)

It will be a sensational weekend - I can feel it!

Okay Squids, here is the plan.

Byron is coming Friday morning.
We will have dinner at my house (feel free to come) I will mkae some Sushi, so if you come let me know a day in advance and I will make more.
Saturday morning we will leave Miami early and head to Moroso. Marion will follow with the Jeep and tires and equipment. I will drive the Challenge car up there on street tires.
After Moroso we will head back to Miami change shower and meet at 7:30pm at Maranello's for dinner with the entire group.
After that we will head out to SoBe for a drink and then squid into a night club for some dancing.

Sunday morning is the F1 race in Monza. We will meet at the Italian Image at 7:30am (hell knows how we will look) watch the race then drive to a local for the group shot, possibly on Brickell Ave, a shot they will use in the Miami Herald Business Monday one week, then we head to Key Biscayne for a brunch at Sunday's at the Bay.

Does that sound like fun?

Paul,
I thought a Cannonball Run would be cross Country. Too many Miles, eh?

October 6th I will be driving Homestead with SAFE.

Martin, actually I am planning to do a Cannonball Run from Jupiter to Jacksonville in October. Will be leaving Jupiter on October 4th in the early morning and return by midday on October 5th. Will stay overnight somewhere up there. The first person back wins a pool of $6,000. Already have 8 FCars and 4 Corvettes participating. Any interest?

Guys, I will see you at the track but not going to Maranello's. Too far! If Amanda, I mean Byron and Amanda want to have a good time, they should stay in the Jupiter/Palm Beach area.

We are meeting on September 6th after the Moroso driving event at Maranellos Restaurant at 7:30pm.
Parking is tough but bring the horses anyway.

Byron and Amanda are in town all the way from LA and we want to show them a good time.
