Well Bruce, once you know the whole story you understand why these NON-Club groups have splintered. It is such a drag to have people fight tooth and nail over a non-paying position. To the life of it I can not understand why anyone would fight for a job that pays zip.

Thanks for the nice comments on my Grigio Metalic 348tb. I think it is the only one with a gray and black interior. Anyone know of any others?
While the Tampa Bay meetings are connected to the FOC, everyone is welcome. I attended some of the early Sarasota dinners and just have not been able to get back for more. I also find the infighting between the formal and informal groups is counterproductive to enjoying the Ferrari experience. We should be supporting everyone's activities and expose more people to the cars.

I've been attending the Sarasota group dinners for some time now and it's really not a bad drive down there and back. Driving over the skyway bridge is a neat thing, it's interstate driving all the way and Paul Sloan always does a great job coordinating things. The restaurants love having our group, the parking is coned off and secure. It's just a nice time and the Ferrari gets to breath a little. Just came back from one last night and Paul will probably post pictures here soon.

I'm rather thinking of dinners outside the auspices of a formal club events where people will actually WANT to attend much in the manner of Scuderia Sarasota and Squideria Calamari.

I sent Mark an email as to the where and when for a dinner. Sounds like a nice time.

Ah.. there IS life in Tampa! Hope I can make it to some of those dinners. I've seen plenty of Bentleys around, an Aston Martin, etc.. but only one Ferrari so far, a yellow 308GTB. That dark silver/gray 348 is stunning though. I *think* I'll be in town for the next few weekends too... any room for enthusiast-soon-to-be-owners?

Russ,
Welcome to the Tampa Bay area. We have supper on the third Sunday of each month for the Ferrari owners in the area. Contact Mark Reinecke at [email protected]. He coordinates with the restaurant. Look forward to seeing you.

Robin, Thanks to your post I went back and changed the wording in my post...I don't own ALL those cars at the same time. That list was built over many years. The "other cars owned" seemed past tense to me, hence the list. Now the list is more clear showing my current cars and my previous cars.

I had a black/black 360 Modena and sold it almost two years ago. I guess once you get some Ferrari in your blood, it stays forever because I am now back in a 360 again. There is simply nothing like it in the world. I still have the C2 Cab...GREAT car for every day driving but I was really missing the feel of the 360. I honestly can't see myself without a Ferrari under my butt for the rest of my life. They just do it right!

Russ

PS: The Bently was a great car (boat), although I never took to the beach! That's what I have a truck for!

If we've got enough of a concensus here, we could start doing monthly dinners and get togethers in the Tampa Bay area a-la what the
Squids and Scuderia Sarasota are doing.

Welcome to the group Russ! Looks like you're right across the bay from me. Impressive list of cars you have... I was just at Clearwater beach on Friday and saw 3 Bentley Arnages on the way there. Wonder if one of those was you? Hope you stick around and make it out to some of the many FL events!

Hello all! I am new to this group and am very impressed. Seems like a great crew. Great reading all the tech stuff - learn something new on each visit. Thanks!
