Donny, Glad to hear you have joined the a/c crowd. I know Tracey is happy too. My a/c lost the fitting on the compressor somewhere on HWY 22 it backed off the compressor and the hose so a new fitting had to be ordered. As for the overheating the top hose on the expansion tank was collapsed internally so I was hoping this would solve the problem esp. after the recored radiator got a clean bill of health. But the car is still running a little too hot about 210 - 220. So back to square one. Also while it is getting serviced I had the valves adjusted, seems they were a little off after all and the spark plug extenders were pretty much fried so they were replaced. And as if all this wasn't enough all the rubber on the suspension (front and rear) has to be replaced. I did know this part already. Whew!!! So I am hoping to have a "new" 308 when I return from Vegas next week. The only thing that really concerns me is the overheating problem but I am sure it will be sorted out in the end.

Hi Donny. Hi Kelly.

Franks AC is sorted out... I heard it was just a loose fitting and they are still working on the overheating problem.

I have a GREAT story for y'all tonight!

I had trouble finding a lift back from Lindsey's place. Kelly wasn't in the area today and my coworkers all had other issues to deal with. I had run down my list of people who might be able to help me out and couldn't come up with anything. In a valiant effort to think outside the box I resorted to irrational thought and came up with the most unlikely person... Any guesses? OK, let me help you out: 1. I was in Kenner at Lindsey Automotive. 2. I started doing business at Lindsey's after I had been going to Fortune Motors and was ready for a change. #3. I am shameless. (my wife argues that I am also too cheap to take a cab)
Give up?
I called Wade Nunez.

After a very short phone conversation (during which Wade asks for my business and is declined) he tells me that he respects my decision and asks when he should pick me up.
I am flabergasted.
Wade picks me up in a timely fashion and I realize pretty quickly that he has come prepaired to bring me to Mandeville... he didn't know that I was headed to my Metairie office. (Which is down the street, not 30+ miles away) I was touched.
Anyway, Wade committed an interesting act of kindness under some pretty bizarre circumstances-- This would be like calling Dave Thomas at home, telling him you were never going to eat at Wendy's again, then asking him to give you a lift to McDonalds-- I wanted to share it with all of you folks that know him.
Regards,
Erin

Sorry I don't live closer. Would have loved to been there. I haven't had the courage to take mine to work yet. I work at a chemical plant and don't want to get sprayed with who knows what getting there. You know, it does damage to my lungs everyday, put when it comes to the Ferrari, you have to draw the line somewhere.

Has Frank gotten his A/C and temp issues straightened out? Got my A/C going. It won't freeze you out of the car, but it does keep me from being wet with sweat when I get where I'm going.

See ya later.

With your last comment, no wonder Erika can really get jealous of that car!!!!

You should have included her in that statement.

Was'up?

OK, so maybe it isn't that big of a deal. I have some calls to make in the New Orleans area and Jim Lindsey agreed to change the oil and give the car his blessings in the interlude. Who knows what treasures I will encounter while visiting the temple of the Ferrari gods... Perhaps I can thwart fate with my overactive opportunism and catch a glimpse of the Testa Rossa rumored to have taken up temporary residence there.

If anyone in the area is interested in lunch; I intend to get together with Kelly and Frank somewhere in Metairie slightly before noon.

A drive to work in my F-car always starts the day off right.
