Hi guys,

I thought ya'll might want to know that our 30year conventional mortgage rate dropped down to 6% yesterday (Friday, December 6th... and the 15 year rate was hanging around at 5.5) This is pretty low, and there is some speculation that we are nearing the end of this party. Rates have been on a rising trend for the last several weeks.

After a relatively dry week, I was swamped with requests for refi's. (about half a million dollars worth within a few hours of the rates posting) If any of you are looking at 30 year residential mortgage rates in the upper 6's or higher, you should consider refinancing now.

Now for the shameless bit of self promotion: If you want to refinance, call me. I can lock in a rate for you fast and you can deal directly with me.
