HAHAHA Well I will be staying a little bit away from the French Quarter at the Hampton Inn along with my newest friend the infamous DES. I'll be picking him up at the airport Thursday and from then on the plans appear to be open. Anyone got any ideas? I partied in New Orleans so I know what's out there but not to good at finding my way around. Kelly I am so sorry for not getting back to you. I'll reach you sometime before I leave. Looking forward to meeting you all!

$100 bucks a night is going to be hard to find.
But for an average of $150 a night you should be able to score a stay at one of these places.

Courtyard Marriott Convention Center- is brand new.

Hotel Le Cirque- new and right on Lee Circle. Haven't heard from anyone who has stayed there but bet it is very nice.

Hyatt Regency 500 Poydras Plaza - nice place I hear. Big mega tower hotel

Magnolia Mansion - right on the trolley route in the Garden District.

There used to be a Radisson(?) north on Canal, about a $4 cab ride from the quarter. Is it still there? I think there used to be a Best Western on Canal too? You might go to one of the hotel web sites and tell them you want to pay $100. You might be surprised what you get.

Matt:

Try to contact the doubletree hotel. As for the doubletree near Canal st. It is directly across from the Windsor Court and should be much less expensive.

I am in the process with DES of locating a fairly cheep hotel room in New Orleans for around a hundred dollars a night. I believe DES and I will rooming together and we are trying to be as close to everyone as possible. If you have any recommendations let us know. We are both scrammbling to get our plans straight. Any work you guys need the event I'll gladly offer to help with anything. As soon as I get in touch with DES tonight I'll give you a call to see what we have found out. Most of the rooms in the French Quarter are pretty pricey for us so if you can help us find something close to everyone let me or DES know. Thanks for the help and I look forward to meeting you. Matt
