Des When Sam told me that story it hit me that the names on the wall were more than names, they were real people. In 69 I marched from Arlington Cemetary to the capitol steps holding a candle with the name of a soldier who had been killed in Vietnam around my neck. When I reached the White House I stopped. It was 3:16 AM. I looked up at Richard Nixon's bedroom and said the name that was written on my sign. The line of single file marchers streatched 15 miles. Somehow on the eve of sending more young people off to fight, whether or not you feel it must be done, it's very important we all remember that not all of them are going to come home... |

James, i recall reading that somewhere else on here, not too long ago... Awesome story- sad, though, i'm sorry... Even still, it just adds to the intrigue that i know is behind each one of your posts... |

Des As you head out to Calif. to drive your first Ferrari I thought you'd enjoy hearing about the first time another young guy saw the Black Horse... "That kid was right." He said as we drove through the night from Coney Island towards the city in my 308 with the lights from the unmarked Police car Jason was escorting us along with throwing red flashes across our dash. " I was SOL, dead, gone, fineato, when slowly I heard the sound of Puff opening up from the cargo bay of that C130 and starting to puke a million rounds a minute into the jungle floor. Maybe, maybe...Then came the Heuy and the door gunner laying down 50 cal in short bursts. That's what told me, the short bursts...He wasn't panicing. I was going home. As he pulled me off the skid and we lifted off I noticed a sticker on his helmut, a Black Horse, like the one on the front of your car. As we flew back he told me that someday he was going to ride in a Ferrari and I would too... He was half right." He took a swig, looked at me and said "Better Days" Best Jim |

LMAO, i should have seen that one coming, Bret. I never said you were "homosexual", i merely said you exhibited a homosexual tendency. Straight people can do that. Im straight, but me whipping my male team mates with towels in the ass in the locker room while they are chaging might qualify as a homosexual tendency. actually, we dont even have a locker room at the boathouse, but ive grown accustom to eating dinner with a sweat soaked shirt. hell, on tuesday there was even some puke on it because of the hardest practice ever combined with me still being sick. But i wish they woild put a locker room in just so i could snap my towel... Anyway, moral of the story is that you dont have to be a homosexual to act like one. " i don't see people up in arms when Red Shoe Diaries comes on late at night, on Cinemax, with two women gettin' it on" This does not bother be. theres something about 2 girls hooking up that is cool, it happens alot at parties with yound adults ages 18-22. Bret knows what i'm talkin about |

LOL, Bret... i agree that our society is a lot more temperamental when it comes to heterosexual acts than others- but that doesn't make it right... i don't see people up in arms when Red Shoe Diaries comes on late at night, on Cinemax, with two women gettin' it on... Society is #@$%ed in the mind, in my opinion... |

I do agree with you in that as long as people aren't making me do something I really couldn't care less what they do themselves. I think on TV it is a little over the line when they show guys kissing though (MTV in particular), not that you brought it up, but just an example. Some of that gay stuff can be funny as hell though. I went to the show "the producers" last week in the city and they had a lot of vulgarity, of which a good portion was with gay guys. It was hilarious, I guess my point is that I'm pretty much indifferent as long as discretion is shown. There is more leeway for heterosexual actions in are society, but of course there are lines for that as well even though the actions they would restrict would be somewhat more overt than those of which people wouldn't mind gays doing in public. And I am glad to that we can just say things and not get into those heated debates, which I think are a waste of time for the most part, although occasionally a well thought out one comes along. As for Tim, he's definitely a homo. I can just picture him with his crew team. He'd be the guy in the locker room that is snapping people with a towel while they're changing, yelling things like "last one in the shower's a rotten egg". lol. |

Bret, i wasn't aware that you and time were joking, but i'm sorry you don't agree that there's nothing wrong with it... My views seem to oppose most here, but i can't help but voice what i feel is right... i can't see anything wrong with it as long as it's not being unwillfully forced on others- just like religion- they can do what they please, fine with me, just don't try to force it on me... Not that i wanna turn Bonnie's friendly picture thread into a heated political debate, but i'm always up for some friendly, intelligent conversation... By all means, share your views, if you'd prefer... i have full respect for free speech and couldn't utilize it, myself if i didn't understand that it also applies to speech i may disagree with... |

I think we should also add so no one gets confused, Tim and I go back a couple years so we're not necessarily being serious with each other... btw, I don't adhere to that "there is nothing wrong with homosexuality" clause added. |

...Let's make sure we add to the fact that there's nothing wrong with homosexuality or being a homosexual... Having a problem with homosexuality is the same thing as having a problem with lesbianism- and i've never heard anyone here complain about two women being together... It's very closed-minded to make fun of or put something down just because you're not into it or you dislike it... As long as someone's not trying to force their way into your bowels, you shouldn't have a problem with what they do... |

I'll try not to Tim. Albeit "funky" is a rather odd word, I fail to see how it connotates homosexuality. It seems you're stretching awefully hard. Actually you seem to stretch a lot of what people say as being gay, makes me think you're the one with something going on there. Although I'm being defensive so maybe I really am gay. I'll get you Nonna, you just wait, you'll make some ridiculous comment and I'll be there call you the homo. |

i would try "paint", click "image", then "stretch/skew" and plug in your # for "horizontal %" and then repeat, (click image) for "vertical %". then "save as" JPEG otherwise, i have no idea. dw |
