Im surprised Snopes hasnt discredited this one yet. Alarms go off to me when the "warnings" start like this:
"I HATE to have to share this, but my uncles cousins friends brothers aunt who is VERY high up in the Pentagon warned that a NUKE is loose in NYC as of 3:00PM on Saturday and to STAY OUT OF THE CITY indefinitely!"
Come on... There have been about 1000 variations on this "warning" since Feb 13. ALL of them involve "people with super high connections" who have been given "top secret info" and are leaking it out.
Lots of conspiracy theorists and anarchists want to believe that the government knew that 9/11 was coming. Well, I think that's BS, BUT... if it WAS true, then shouldnt there have been warnings like this running like WILD from all of these supposed "people with well placed friends"?
No matter how you slice it, it's more urban legend garbage. I'd love to find one of the idiots that actually originates these things and throttle them...
The government is guilty of fueling a lot of this garbage with the "terror alert" idiocy. It's like, don't tell me we're at "magenta level alert", just get out there and DO something about it! You just know it's 90% politically motivated noise. At the end of the day, what could we possibly pack in a "readiness back pack" that would really help us in the event of a major attack? They're frightening people unnecessarily and it's reprehensible. |

John, the duct tape was just an example of how the government is playing "ripple effect" with the economy through threats of war... Bush sits on his, even though he knows about this stuff, 'cause he knows nothing will happen... If it wasn't so cold out, i'd keep all my windows open, tomorrow... Let the "chemicals" come get me... It's laughable... i'll keep my other September 11th comments to myself... It could get nasty in here... |

out of all the things why the hell would the govnt tell us to buy "duct tape"..i dont know if its bullsh1t or not..cus the govnt also knew about the tower attacks but did nothin to prevent it..i dont worry about this cus sh1t happens but bush just sits his dumbass on a safe house, when he should be the one fightin in the war |

Even if this was true- which isn't, it's complete bullsh!t- it just goes to show how much our government appreciates us- "not wanting to cause mass panic & evacuation" so they just tell us to stock up on supplies and all that silly crap... They know it's not true- they're playing with the economy...! Things like this get me so riled up, it's ridiculous... If i had the foresight and the resources, i would've became a duct tape salesperson on Monday- if i did, i would have a 360 by tomorrow... This is such bullshit, i'm disgusted... |
