I'm going to save up a few $$$$ before I go hog wild modifying the TR. I am that addictive personality that can't leave well enough alone!! So, the exhaust, Brembo brakes, and other mods will wait. I might go with the Adam Goldman Koenigs, they sounded great when I was behind him in my 308 once. Just have to see how it goes.

Hutch, does it already have an aftermarket exhaust or are you putting one on? Borlas sound amazing. Thats what billy z had on his and it sounded amazing from inside. People say that the borla sounds better than a tubi, but i dont remeber what tubi's sound like.

She's a 1991 Testarossa RED ext. w/ TAN int. Only 11,600 miles. I'm looking forward to getting behind the wheel soon!!!

All you Jersey crew guys - Keep an eye out for my 308! I spoke with Antoine @ Autosport this morning, and asked him if my 308 was going away or staying locally. he told me that the buyer was in Jersey!! If the new owner doesn't take great care of her, then we'll teach him a lesson. Joisey style...
Thanks for your enthusiasm guys!! - Hutch

Congratulations, Hutch! My car's at Classic Coach for servicing. I drove it a good part of the winter. It's doing well.

I'm looking forward to seeing your new TR at this spring's events.

Greetings Dr. Barry W - I plan on getting the '91 Testarossa that Autosport has. Deal is about 99% done. All I have to do is convince GEICO to insure me.
How is your carbed GTB doing? That is a sweet 308!!

Hutch,

That sure was one fine 308 GTS! So, what are you getting to replace it?

I'd like to add that I had a 308 brought in for a PPI to Autosport last year. Their price on the PPI was less than that charged by other shops in the area. The car was in need of a lot of work and the PPI showed it. I passed on that car. I don't yet own a 308 (hopefully someday) so I can't say from firsthand experience how they compare to others pricewise/quality.

I just visited the shop last week on my way home from work. I saw Hutch's 308 there (and several other Ferraris). Autosport did a fantastic job on his car. It looks great! It's been maintained superbly.

DES, if you want to stalk, you must get there before 6pm weekdays. That's when they take the cars from out front and bring them into their shop for the night. I got to watch that this week. It's like the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, only a lot more interesting! Hearing a 12 cylinder TR get fired up and seeing the gleaming red machine move, is enough to brighten anyone's day!

They've done the work on my (not mine anymore...) 308 since 12/2000. I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of the workmanship, and the customer relations that they maintain. I can only compare them to Miller Motorcars, who had my 308 once. I was not impressed or satisfied with Miller (particularly their uneager + unwanting attitude towards a new customer).

My dad bought a 365 GTC/4 from them last year . I'll ask him or you can ask him he's on the board too. But from what he told me , he isnt very happy with them. I think the car had to go back to have the gearbox rebuilt , after maybe 2 weeks and you can imagine just a few miles .

Mail him @ [email protected] .

John

Autosport is very well known and I think hutch on the board uses them - his car is there on consignment. The do a lot of high end resto work and I have heard nothing but good things about Tom and the crew

John, would this be another potential place for me to drive by and check out, or do they not have any cars out in view...?

Anyone care to share your experience with them? i.e. compare to Ferrari of Long Island, their service, pricing, etc.
