Bonnie: It sounds like your friend is a bit...shall we say nervous or suspiscious. It sounds like he just asked her out for a casual "get to know you" coffee. No big deal. Besides...they aren't getting married. It sounds like they just met. Tell her to calm down

I am with Charles T, "ask him if he as a gf or ask him out for saturday night yourself. no reason not to trust him yet."

...being casual, sitting down for a Starbucks seems like a good idea if you just want to be yourself and get to know someone...instead of getting all dolled up and going to a loud restaurant/bar in the beginning.

what are you talking about tim! Your such an a**. Im not talking about me for one, i had no clue what the hell to tell my gf, she didnt believe me when i told her, so i asked these guys...theres alot of guys on here, i knew id get some sort of answer for her, which i did. Did your mother ever teach you, if you dont have something nice to say, dont say anything at all.

you must be really desparate if you are asking for guy advice on an internet forum.
if he didnt want to go out then dont even bother. under most circumstances i will not go out with a girl for any reason if i dont like her or i feel that going out with her will wont better my situation in any way (ie. hot friends).

Have him tell you! Life's complicated enough without this type of fecal matter.

Still very amibiguous, even with the details; Does he seem like a regular, everyday guy or is he quirky...? Maybe he wants the first time out to be a Sunday morning 'cause it's different, you know... It's not that typical Friday night, dinner/movies/your place type of deal... Who knows... Are you having problems with Robert Callahan...? :-)

So heres the scenario, guy meets girl, girl shows interest, guys definitly interested without a doubt, guy calls girl. Guy then asks to see her on a sunday morning for coffee. He calls on a friday nonetheless!! Suspicious?? Does he have a gf? Hes also going on vacation to Disney world...to meet up with his brother and family who live down there. Is he going alone? And why didnt he want the first time out on a friday or sat NIGHT!!?? He also doesnt pick up the phone late at night, say 10ish.You tell me.....
