In my opinion, New York is the best place to live in the country. Although the weather has not been cooperating as of late:-( New York still offers everything that you could ever possibly want. The different seasons, the people are great, the city is awesome, Long Island is beautiful, boating, oceans, fishing etc! We just need some race tracks:-)

Andy, being a worrier at heart, the fires will go out when California slides into the ocean.

I was once there during a small tremer, I couldn't live there.

i would not want the last picture of me holding up the 328 so it didn't get wet.

C'mon now. California isn't that bad.

So the place sets itself on fire every couple of months in the summer...

And the air coming out of car exhausts is CLEANER than the air that went into the intakes...

And the roads stop dead - five lanes at a time - between 3:00pm and 8:00pm every day (including weekends)...

they actually broadcast aerial car chases live... not as a joke on "reality" shows...

Then again. Ever since they built a golf course at Bridgehampton there hasn't been much reason to stay in NY either ...

TAKE IT EASY THERE, MR EASY GLIDER!!! We will be having some nice weather here in the coming weeks, and will be taking full advantage of it when it gets here. You've had all "winter" out in Cali to enjoy. We've been stuck in 3+ feet of snow for the past 4 months. See if you can keep up with us in July and August. When given the opportunity, we TRI-STATERS hook up and drive!!! Enjoy your temporary celebration. - Hutch

No, not a hennessy, its mikes. then behind that is ferretti's vette. Its the one with the east coast supercharging sticker (interestingly it is not equipped with a supercharger, or any type of forced induction for that matter. it also does not have nitrous , at least not that i know of...)

Tim - Bonnie laughed at and enjoyed the thong theme in her thread 'Love em!'. She did not take it on a dead serious level. I don't think anyone took it seriously, and it was never intended to be taken very seriously. I don't see why you are getting all bent out of shape about it now. Like I said, lighten up.

This story popped into my mind when I read this thread:
>
> An Italian walks into a bank in New York City and
> asks for the loan officer.
> He tells the loan officer that he is going to Italy
> on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.
>
> The bank officer tells him that the bank will need
> some form of security for the loan, so the Italian hands over
> the keys to a new Ferrari.
>
> The car is parked on the street in front of the bank.
> The Italian produces the title and everything checks out. The
> loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.
>
> The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at
> the Italian for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a
> $5,000 loan.
>
> An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari into the bank's
> underground garage and parks it there.
>
> Two weeks later, the Italian returns, repays the $5,000 and the
> interest, which comes to $15.41.
>
> The loan officer says, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your
> business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but
> we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out
> and found that you are a multimillionaire. What puzzles us is, why
> would you bother to borrow $5,000?"
>
> The Italian replies: "Where else in New York City can I park my car
> for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when
> I return?"
>

Did anyone else note the sarcasm in Hutch;s post? if you ask me, rodney kind needed a good beating, which he got. I say we putt he officers who beat his ass up on pedestals for their good work! we dont need criminals speeding around while drunk endangering children.

Ron, she's right, i knew you were kidding and laughed rather loudly when i initially read your list... No offense was ever taken, at all- if i can't laugh at myself, who can i laugh at...? You all in California have been real nice to me and i hope to someday get out there and meet all of you...

Bonnie, if you only knew how bitterly serious i am off of this site- you'd think i was two different people... :-)

But I will say, your list doesn't cut it. None of the reasons are valid.

Des, one i have to disagree with....more parking room! HA! Maybe on Long island, but go into Manhatten and forget about it. You have to drive around for hours trying to find a spot, if you dont want to waste your time doing that, you have to pay for parking. Which i might add is a pain in the butt, for one, it can take a days pay from you it can be that expensive, and it takes them hours to get out cause they have to move all those damn cars to get it out from the back. Forget it, parking stinks in Manhatten!
