i dont think oil prices will be affected as much as we think. the price drop will be minimal. the us will not get control of any oil when this is over. | ||

Countries go to war for only one reason...'To protect/ maintain/enhance their way of life'. main goal is to disarm hussein because thats the immediate threat. he's been a thorn in our ass for 15 years, screwing with our oil and threatening our safety by supporting terrorists and now getting close to having a nuke (which he would not hesitate for a second to use on use). Lowering oil prices (which is what will occur after this war for whatever reasons) will be a nice ancillary benefit. | ||

no DES, the US gov't cant take over oil. at most it becomes UN oil, but that wont happen. wghat will happe is that bidding on oil fields will be open to western companies. you are always too quick to assume that the US gov't is greedyy, "facist amd nazi-like" and evil. go live in iraq for a year and see if you even survive. people who disagree with saddam's regime over there are jailed. you would be crying to come back. | ||

Oh, and you are stupid becaue the reason for the war is not oil. If the united states takes over iraq, we will not get their oil. The most that can happen is western oil companies can bid on oil fields. As of now, only iraqui companies can bid on them. The war will not lower US oil prices. BEfore you attempt to criticize the war in horrible english, make sure you have you facts straight. | ||

Gee, this probably constitutes a hate crime. If you guys can track down the turkey's computer address, may be we can report him to the Feds, or their equivalent, in his country of origin. You'd be suprised at how effective law enforcement can be, particularly in this day and age, when computer hate crime is considered tantamount to a terrorist act. In fact, there are circumstances where people have been subject to raids, seizures of their personal effects, including their computers, and assets for committing such crimes. And, interestingly, you don't even have to be an adult to be prosecuted. Jon Johansen in Norway was recently acquitted of certain computer crimes in Norway, as a result of a complaint filed by US-based organizations. On appeal, his acquittal was reversed and he will now be retried. Johansen was about 15 when he made the postings, but, if convicted may well serve real time in prison. | ||
