Well...got the car back...new brakes, fixed the slow passenger window...pretty happy. I started dealing directly with Rocky and was pleased...easy to work with. The car was delivered as clean as it was when I brought it in. The part that was a little annoying was...why couldn't they just suggest buying EBC Green Stuff brake pads for 89.00 vs the 300+ ferrari brake pads? I had to suggest this to them and said use these. Is it possible they didn't know of the EBC pads?

I'm never going to get Wil to participate on this board, as much as I'm sure he'd enjoy it. He's too busy with his other woman, the Maserati 450-S inspired aluminum bodied roadster he's building from scratch. Every spare minute goes into his car.

We do have pick up and delivery, and it is often gratis for significant repair work or service. 50 miles away is not very far either. A Miura-SV was just in the shop that belongs to a guy in Calgary, Canada. We frequently have out of state cars from MD, NY, PA, even OH and Wisconisn. But it grieves me that so many local Ferrari owners go to the dealers instead of trying a friendly, honest (honest!) small independent shop like us.

If any F-chat member goes to Bruce's house feel free to stop in here, say hi and look around. We're in the same area of NJ, otherwise maybe we'll see you all up at Pocono. End of sales pitch.

If spiritually lost, then seek the wisdom of the man known to have Brass Balls. He shall bring thee into enlightenment... or at least playfully intoxicated!
Have a good night fellas!! I'm bugging out for the evening.

The first time is always the hardest hit when dealing with any Ferrari service. Kind of like testing your dog's loyalty by kicking him. If he comes back, then he is loyal. If not, then he never was, and you are beter off without him around. I think that is the view of most Ferrari service shops.

And what's up with a charge for opening a package?? Sandy or Wil - I'm looking in your direction...
Peace out fellas!!

If you Joisey boys had come up to the Greenwich Show this past weekend, I could've introduced you to the guys at Autosport Designs. They were at the show with a few of their Aston Martins. It was good to chat with them. And I'm pretty satisifed with them. As for pickup and delivery, they have a flatbed service.

Thanks Will...Bruce has spoken highly of you...but you are 50 miles from me. Initially I wanted to find someone that was convenient and of course...a quality professional. We'll see how it turns out...a friend of mine recommended using EBC Green Stuff brake pads...he was very satisfied...cost (3 times less than Ferrari), performance and minimal brake dust. We'll see how it turns out...You know what would be cool...if a company, as a courtesy, would pick up the car (i.e. Flatbed), fix the car and bring it back...that would be HUGE

Thanks Will...chat in a bit

Todd,

Maybe you'll give us a try next time! Check out our newly updated website which gives an idea of the breadth of our services. We do our very best to provide honest, friendly, timely and reasonably price service. All our guys speak English, love their jobs, aim to please, and you don't have to fight traffic to get here. Anyone from F-chat who comes to our shop is welcome to OJ and a bagel. Is this a flagrant sales pitch? Naaah :-)

Dropped my car off at Classic Coach today to have them fix a couple of little things they found at the tech session last month (brakes, suspension bushing, light bulb in console, etc)...they came highly recommended... This is my 1st time using them so I will let you know my experience and whether they have earned their keep.

Peace.

Hi Hutch. I went to Bpt. MV for vin # check few weeks ago for my Mondial. Had temp plates first, went back for vin. check ....can u say slloooww, But then drove back home afterwards.
I would never park any F-car there. Its overcrowded there to begin with an the line for vin. checks goes thru the parking lot.
But if you decide to go an do one stop shopping i would be more than happy to help. Im in Fairfield cell# 203-314-6881 Dave

No good for me homies...
Got to work in the a.m. , then late morning or early afternoon, got to run the TR up to the DMV in bridgeport for plates. DMV has to see the TR for "VIN # verification". I'll be calling 1-800-RENT-A-COP to guard the TR whilst I am filling out paperwork and waitng for my turn at the desk. Going to try for custom plates reading:
4 PUSC or 4 BVER. Don't think it'll happen, but worth a try!! Next time guys!!! Sorry!!!!

Bruce - I have no problem getting my car wet - only thing is mine probably comes with the factory option of leaky cabriolet top :-). I will take a look at the weather in the am and when it starts to clear I will head out. The event is basically all day so with the current forecast of clearing by mid day I hope to be there around 12-1

DES, don't go through NYC to get to the Jersey Turnpike!! From our area, take the LIE to the Cross Island, go over the Throgs' Neck bridge, and bear left onto the dreaded Cross Bronx Expressway. Take that (hang onto your cupholders and drinks over the massive bumps) over the GWB, and access the Turnpike from there.

Hi Todd,

It's 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM on the 12th. They provide a nice buffet as well. Last year, despite the rain in the morning, there was a large turn-out and there was a large display of Ferraris rivaling any concours event.

I work till 1:00 that day, but will be there in the afternoon. Hope to see you then.

Barry

Hey there Barry...Hope all is well.

I still have yet to visit Classic Coach but would really be interested in going on the 12th. What time is it?
