Yes, absolutely. Doug is very experienced and works to a standard that exceeds most shops'. His work is actually the best I have ever seen.

Efwun...BTW, Ted Wenz also worked at Grand PrixSSR before he went out on his own. Great advice to use him. Don't forget Doug Pirrone at Berlinetta in Huntington. He spent many years behind the wheel of a Ferrari race car. Also Pebble Beach quality.

I thought that John Zwolinski had a great shop in Bohemia, real Pebble Beach stuff, then moved to Florida? I may have the wrong guy, but Werner Pfister mentioned him, pretty sure.
Ed. P, depending on the kind of work you're looking for, Ted Wenz and Peter Marcovicci have a race shop at 33 Coram Loop in Ronkonkoma, Ted is the best motor builder I ever knew. Peter is an artist with metal fabrications. They may be able to help, or at least recommend someone. Real class acts.

Andy, Thanks for the referral. I'll definately look him up.

Chris, I remember your experience with Westhampton Coach works, so I already crossed them off the list.

Has anyone had any experience with East End imports in Bohemia? Someone (not on this board) mentioned them also. Ed

While we're on the subject, I had some paintwork done by a fellow in Ronkonkoma years ago. He was a class act and had the skills to go with it. His name is John Zwolinski. Anyone know what happened to him? His business was named Daytona Coachworks.

Chris,

Sorry to hear about the bad situation with West'n Coachworks. There's something fishy about people who get so defensive.

Ed, Have you heard of Road and Track? They are in Holtsville I believe. The guy who owns the place is Guiseppe Vilduce (I apologize if I got the spelling wrong). Anyway, he is an old time Ferrari mechanic (don't tell him I said that). He worked for SSR Grand Prix back in the 70s and has extensive experience with Ferrari and is a nice person too.

I'm in Suffolk County and could use some recomendations for mechanics in this area. I've picked up on some names from other threads, but haven't really heard anyone expressing total happiness. Any input?
