I guess it can be another last min type stop. Had the craving for Peter Lugers last Sunday and had a nice dinner.

it was pretty good, bascially new york steak house style (nice retro styling) with menu limited to the standard steak dishs (filet, porter, strip) I actually got the rack of lamb which was great. others had the filet which they said was great. they have some fish and chicken offerings as well. the wine list was large. Desserts were good also. My only complaint is probably the prices -most of the entrees were in the 30-40 range (there are some in the low 20s) and then you need to order the sides ie cream spinach, potatoes etc. in total with tip and drinks the bill was about 80 bucks per person. The hotel lobby looks like it has been upgrades and was fine. I did not bring the f-car but it appear the valet would have allowed me to park it right under the overhang by the entrance.

T,
It is inside the new Westminster Hotel (formerly Holiday Inn)...haven't been there yet...it's only a couple miles from my house. Funny you mention it because I went to a wine event at Ruth's Chris at the Parsippany, Hilton last night and it came up in conversation...we'll have to check it out

BTW, I think they opened earlier this year, I spoke to them, they do have valet, which is good and bad- I may leave the f-car home the first time

I am not sure if it is open yet, as it is in a new hotel on RT10 in Livingston. You will have to deal with hotel type parking or poss slip the valet at the front. Let me know how it is.
