Edgar, Mine was silver with tan interior. Thinking back it was a bad decision to sell it (about 8 years ago) as I enjoyed that car very much. If I can help you with your 348 purchase just shoot me an email. You'll be very happy with the right 348. Goodluck.

Byron, You've got a gorgeous car. I loved the black rims, they were an excellent addition.
Dr.Lee, my turbo is an '86 as well. It's Garnet Red Metallic with matching interior, a very rare combination. There were less than 50 made in that color and even less with matching interior. They are a blast to drive indeed. I love to drive and I will not purchase a car unless the driving experience is unique.

Edgar - Yes, that is mine! I placed a deposit on the car almost moments after I saw it on his site.

Martin is a great guy and can point you in the right direction when it comes to 348's. I believe he has a beautiful Black/tan 1990 348TS on consignment with 12k miles and a fresh 30k svc that is priced right. Talk to him. He'll take care of you.

Btw, the 348 CH has made a home for itself in the Southern California area... once I get some additional repairs on it done, it will be ready to run with Roland Linder's F40 LM next month!!

Edgar, different 348 version are covered under:
http://www.ferrariclub.com/faq/348versions.html
PPI from a reputable shop/dealer is most important.

BTW, what year is your 944turbo? I used to own an 86 turbo and they're also a blast to drive.

I just checked his profile, martin is from cavallino motors, I have been to their site before. I saw a 348 challenge for sale, absolutely gorgeous at an excellent price but it was sold before I had a chance to bite. It didn't surprise me with the price. so I used the cash on other business endevors, and now I have to wait till I move to buy =(

Martin is the one to see. Generally with 348's, the later models are better. the early ones are known for electrical problems.

What should I look out for when purchasing this fine automobile? I'm not sure which model 348 I'm going to get yet either. Any suggestions?
