Better watch out for bear too. When you hit one there's always a chance they will bite back. Seriously, i've hit deer twice in the Mondial. Minimal damage , to the car, both times. I've found that while they will "freeze" in your lights, honking the horn will get them to bolt. Usually back the way they came. The bumper mounted whistles don't work. There is a system that constantly emits a warning tone. Unfortunately, it is audible and is activated by turning the car off and then on. I've purchased one but haven't installed it yet. Until I do, I just drive through deer zones with a hand on the horn button. In the next chapter we'll cover cows. |

>> Dusk and dawn are when the deer are out most. If your lights hit their eyes they will freeze.<< Well, I have found that the damn things will freeze until... just right before... you pass them Can't you folks hunt them down by Helicopter or something? Geeze Louise. I've heard of motorcycle riders using whistles or something to deter deers. But I have never heard that these things work. >>Dale also keep in mind we have a lot of moose here.<< Deer, Democrats and now Moose! Man, it ain't right that you folks have all these nice driving roads. It just ain't right, ha!

Dale also keep in mind we have a lot of moose here. I go out a couple of nights a week and drive spiritedly but I'm constantly scanning the treeline for deer and moose, and I always come around corners cautiously as to avoid any suprises. Dusk and dawn are when the deer are out most. If your lights hit their eyes they will freeze. |

Not last night Tom, but tomorrow night I will be in Vermont. But I gotta ask: What do you Yankees do about these morons called "Deer?" The damn things are worse than Democrats. Pea-sized brain. Unpredictable. And hell if you hit one with a nice car. So, have you got any tips for a Southern Boy loose in Yankee land?

the weather by me was great - nice breeze, sun setting - took the car out for a cruise on the highway and then back up through some country roads, no one in site - just had to watch out for the deer, car ran great and had the rpm up in the range quite a bit, nothing more sothing after a day at work - anyone else get out last night |
