yes, Trucks over a certain weight cannot use them, the sign is small so many just notice radar detector and prohibited - I think its intential |

Not New York for cars. I do understand that they are prohibited in commercial trucks. Cell phones are illegal, except if you are using a head set, or hands-free. |

I was the one who caught a glimpse of it was we blurred by. I believe we were on Rt 22 or Rt 7, having just crossed back into NY state from VT. The sign I saw said "The Use Of... Prohibited". On second thought, it cldve been for cell phones. Perhaps if we werent at warp speed - I'd know for sure. :-) |

My dad saw a sign when enterin NY state that said radar detector forbidden.
Is it new ? |
